Sagarin doesn't really care about wins and losses at least in the more popular versions of its model.

Yeah, that's true, but I'm not a computer model.

That's not to say that UND hasn't looked really good; it's just that I remember NCC teams getting a big boost from playing NDSU close in the regular season to the point that teams would lose to NDSU and still move up in the polls. And then getting knocked out of the playoffs in round 1.

Also, a lot of good FCS programs have gone up and added scholarships. So that is talent disappearing from FCS.
