If we concentrated on the really important stuff in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles"

You don't give out trophies for losing. Trophies for sucking. That's a communist idea. You don't get a trophy for losing. You get a piece of pizza and you shut up. Trophies for losing? What the hell happened to us?

Someone on the SS board wondered (I think jokingly) about Entz as a possible candidate. Not nearly enough $$$ one would think. Tyler Roehl's name also mentioned.

Possible, but not likely. I think they want to wipe the slate clean and start over.

Wonder if Danny Freund has any regrets after jumping out of Bubba’s ship after last season to take a similar position with the Jackrabbits?

In hindsight it was the perfect move. UN_can bring him back and claim he has experience outside the program on a championship level team. The article writes itself.

They could do the same with Jake Landry, but hopefully not.

Freund should hang onto the bunny gig as long as Jimmy Rodgers is still coaching there. If Rodgers wins another natty, suddenly, he becomes a hot commodity among schools looking for "up and comer" coaches and the possibility exists of moving on to bigger and better opportunities and life-changing money. Unless, of course, Rodgers wants to become a Stiglemeier 2.0 and live in Brookings for the rest of his coaching career....a thought that I find really repugnant......not the coaching part, but living in Brookings.
