    Same rule for coaches?

I've harped on it for years but the rule could just be that the early signing period is actually early like in August before their senior seasons of high school (similar to basketball players signing their NLI's in November of their senior season) so they could lock themselves in if they wanted to.

The early signing period did get a little better this year with it coming up here on December 4th instead of the week before Christmas like is has been the past. Also helps with FBS teams not feeling the need to poach coaches in the middle of FCS playoff season now that there's no off-campus recruiting allowed anymore between the early signing period and the first week in January.

Pretty cool story out of Carbondale where a guy who started the season as a grad assistant for SIU got his first, last, and only start of his collegiate career yesterday and responded by setting a school record with 7 TD passes against Murray St: https://valley-football.org/news/202...tate-62-0.aspx

    That's cool
Well, not for Murray State, but still cool.

Great story! I wondered what happened to him. He was a finalist for Mr. Football in Indiana in 2018. They other 3 were David Bell (now a receiver for the Browns), Jack Kizer (starting LB at Notre Dame), and Bronson Yoder (solid EB career at William & Mary). Kizer was the winner. Lindauer went to Cincinnati before transferring to SIU.

That is an awesome story...thanks for posting it. Sure have to feel for players that put in all that work and never see the field...and then for this to happen...good for him.

I was looking over MVFC schedules and saw that UND lost it's last 5 games after starting 5-2. It is interesting to me that USD, SDSU and NDSU are all ranked in the top 4, and UND is nowhere to be found. What is going up on there?
