MW is much better than the MVFC, the bottom of the MVFC is absolute trash. That is the real difference between the two....WIU, Indiana State and Murray State are about as pud as it gets.

Would you say the top 5 of the conference you belong to is better than the top 5 of the MW? If you say the MVFC is better at the top then you are not seeking a step up in competition..You are not looking for a challenge. If you say they you are about the same in your conference, you are not looking for a step up in competition. I don't think any of you here want or expect a step up in competition. You don't "want" to be in the MW, specifically. You just want the initials.

When Nevada moved up 30 years ago the school absolutely wanted to play better teams to prove they belonged. It was an wonderful challenge to be such underdogs. You guys don't want that at all. You think you don't have anything to prove at all. You see yourself as the king already..

As the MWC stands right now if you want to go top 5 vs top 5, it is better as well but the difference isn't as big as the bottom 5 vs bottom 5.

In football analytically it’s a slight step up but I think the confidence you see on this board is from the thought that additional scholarships would close that gap. For me and most the major step up in competition comes in the non football sports where we are also hitting our ceiling in the summit league.

On top of that the branding and expose would be a major increase for our university.

I think that’s definitely debatable. You and CAS obviously believe the football program has earned this investment. That’s a fair point given the results of the FB program. Looking at it from more of a ROI perspective it doesn’t make near as much sense.

In your opinion. In my opinion it is well worth it. Ive been told on this site for years that the kids need the new shit. Or they find another place to place to play. The bubble isnt a selling point or rercuiting tool. This new facility checks a lot of boxes.

Yes it does if the sole goal is to continue to dominate the FCS.

In terms of football PF, yes we would have a nice one. I think the lack of basketball investment and success limits the invite we can get. Based on your previous comments, I think you’re skeptical of an FBS invite happening. So the PF was built for FCS football. I guess we’ll see if that is a sustainable business model. If the trend in attendance and engagement continues, I think it is a slow decline of the program. The PF does very little to reverse those trends.
