IMO...it seems like once you get a taste of DI...there's a need for more depth...but the number of scholarships allowed is a little on the low side. You can't stack any positions up. Can't make many mistakes. You're feeling the urge to be like an FBS program...and compete with them...but there's a dead-end in the road. You have to recruit extremely well...and hope that most pan out. Can't afford too many Wellenstein situations. Uff da

Scout lists him as a prospect at DE, but no height and weight.

It lists him as being from Richfield, Cole Jirik came from Northfield. Related? Brothers, cousins?

Rivals does not list him on either the WDE or SDE.

Appleton North class of 2010 linebacker Kolby Knuth (6-3, 215) is getting all kinds of early recruiting looks according to Lightning head coach Rob Salm.

“He is receiving heavy interest from Minnesota, Army, North Dakota State and Missouri,” Salm said. “It seems that the word has gotten out about him with the high number of recent calls.”
