NDSU's No. 1 quarterback prospect for 2010 has surfaced.

Troy Delmer from Osh Kosh.

As a junior, Demler led the state of Wisconsin in passing with 3,051 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Looks like a lot of familiar competition for Demler, who is arguably the top junior quarterback in the state of Wisconsin

Demler, who has yet to receive a scholarship offer, has a trip planned to Northern Illinois next Sunday and feels his first offer could be on the way from North Dakota State.

"I'm going to Northern Illinois next Sunday for another junior day that they are having," he said. "Northern Iowa invited me to their junior day in April and North Dakota State told me as of right now, I'm their No. 1 quarterback prospect for my class.

"I've been in contact via phone with one of the coaches at North Dakota State. He basically told me today that if I go to the one-day camp I would probably see an offer. Also, I got a hand written letter recently from South Dakota State's head coach. I just said I should call him and he's going to be sending me more information on the school."

Sounds like there are 3 D1 QB's in Wisconsin this year. Parrish , Sinz, and Demler.

From what I have heard. Minnesota is close to plucking Parrish out of Wisc. It could come as early as this week.

Wisconsin has limited scholarships this year, so they will only be taking one QB. I believe they have offered Parrish, but I think they will end up taking there pick of Sinz or Demler. The fans on boards seem to like Demler more than Sinz...but not sure how the coaches feel? Hopefully the Wisky staff likes Sinz more for NDSU's chances with Demler etc....

I see that Matt Eggen, a 6'5" OT from LaCrosse has been offered a scholarship by NDSU. We need more OL in the depth chart, more than two signees a year.

IMO...it seems like once you get a taste of DI...there's a need for more depth...but the number of scholarships allowed is a little on the low side. You can't stack any positions up. Can't make many mistakes. You're feeling the urge to be like an FBS program...and compete with them...but there's a dead-end in the road. You have to recruit extremely well...and hope that most pan out. Can't afford too many Wellenstein situations. Uff da

Parrish committed to the Gophers this morning. Again, I think it comes down to who Wisconsin likes of the other 2 QB's in the state. Wisc. also is in the running for a QB from Colorado who is highly regarded. Hopefully Demler is not high on Wisconsin's list.....as it would put NDSU really in the hunt. Delmer sounds like a good one.

The names of the 86 players who will participate in the 36th Annual Minnesota High School All-Star Football Game have been announced by the Minnesota Football Coaches Association. The 2009 All-Star Football Game
will be held on Saturday June 27 at Husky Stadium on the campus of St. Cloud State University. The kick-off willbe at 7:00 PM. This will be the fifth year that St. Cloud State has hosted the All-Star Football Game.
The All-Star Football Game will showcase outstanding senior players from the 2008 high school football season. Players and coaches representing 76 schools and 31 conferences will participate in this year’s game. They were
selected by members of the Minnesota Football Coaches Association.
The 2009 All-Star Game will be the 36th in the current annual series and the 47th overall. For the 30th year, the game will feature the Metro All-Stars versus the Outstate All-Stars. Through 29 games, the Outstate All-Stars
lead the series 15-14. In the 2008 game, quarterback Greg Morse of St. Paul Como Park threw for 200 yards and connected on two touchdown passes, rallying the Metro All-Stars to a 22-17 victory over the Outstate All-Stars.
The 2009 All-Star Game will include 14 players from the 2008 Associated Press All-State First Team, including James Peterson of Blaine, the Associated Press Player of the Year. Seven players from the All-State Second
Team will also participate in this year’s game.

Among the players selected are University of Minnesota recruits Matt Garin of Eastview and Josh Campion of Fergus Falls. Also selected were Division IAA recruits Damon Andrews of Triton (North Dakota), Marcus Binns of

Traitor!.......60 miles from Fargo Moorhead and his relative (brother?) was a star at NDSU. NDSU should have got this kid........now he is going to play for punky......too bad for him.
