Jackrabbits Illustrated’s Jackrabbit commitment list:
https://jackrabbitillustrated.com/20...tment-tracker/
There are quite a few prospects with NDSU Offers - I think there are several reasons for that including:
- New NDSU Coach Polasek and Coach Lilly and the others cast a wider net than in the past. More offers, including more borderline can we even get them types. Which includes several instate South Dakota prospects, none of which came on board with the Bison.
- With more prospects offered, there was more first come first served on the offers. If someone else committed…your offer is no longer available…
- Plus, being the FCS power they are, the Jackrabbits can win more head to head recruiting battles than in the past
Just my guesses, but that is the fun of following recruiting!
No football recruiting Blue Ribbon for the hawks

After consideration and talks with my family it’s best if I decommit from Universiry of North Dakota. Thank you for the opportunity and thank you to the coaching staff for all they did.

on his commitment to South Dakota State University!

Jacks on top!
There might need to be a rule that these kids are off limits once they have committed?
Coach P has widened our recruiting. Entz seemed to put all the eggs in our camp. I don't think he went to Lindenwood either. As far as South Dakota offers, you make them an offer so the South Dakota schools don't get an in state discount and have to pony up some scholarship money. It can also draw some attention to other schools to offer
I've harped on it for years but the rule could just be that the early signing period is actually early like in August before their senior seasons of high school (similar to basketball players signing their NLI's in November of their senior season) so they could lock themselves in if they wanted to.
The early signing period did get a little better this year with it coming up here on December 4th instead of the week before Christmas like is has been the past. Also helps with FBS teams not feeling the need to poach coaches in the middle of FCS playoff season now that there's no off-campus recruiting allowed anymore between the early signing period and the first week in January.
Pretty cool story out of Carbondale where a guy who started the season as a grad assistant for SIU got his first, last, and only start of his collegiate career yesterday and responded by setting a school record with 7 TD passes against Murray St: https://valley-football.org/news/202...tate-62-0.aspx
Great story! I wondered what happened to him. He was a finalist for Mr. Football in Indiana in 2018. They other 3 were David Bell (now a receiver for the Browns), Jack Kizer (starting LB at Notre Dame), and Bronson Yoder (solid EB career at William & Mary). Kizer was the winner. Lindauer went to Cincinnati before transferring to SIU.

I was looking over MVFC schedules and saw that UND lost it's last 5 games after starting 5-2. It is interesting to me that USD, SDSU and NDSU are all ranked in the top 4, and UND is nowhere to be found. What is going up on there?
Tommy was the glue holding that mess together.
I heard they're looking at that Romfo girl from Langdon to play qb for them next year. The volleyball player eh.
Just announced; Bubba stepping down as HC of the fawkers.
Any candidates already on staff?
Wonder if Danny Freund has any regrets after jumping out of Bubba’s ship after last season to take a similar position with the Jackrabbits?

Freund should hang onto the bunny gig as long as Jimmy Rodgers is still coaching there. If Rodgers wins another natty, suddenly, he becomes a hot commodity among schools looking for "up and comer" coaches and the possibility exists of moving on to bigger and better opportunities and life-changing money. Unless, of course, Rodgers wants to become a Stiglemeier 2.0 and live in Brookings for the rest of his coaching career....a thought that I find really repugnant......not the coaching part, but living in Brookings.

Here are eight names to think about as UND opens the head football coach job for the first time since 2013:
https://www.grandforksherald.com/spo...ium%3Dsharebar
UND names Isaac Fruechte interim head football coach
Fruechte was a first-year offensive coordinator for the Fighting Hawks in 2024
https://www.grandforksherald.com/spo...ium%3Dsharebar
National Signing Day is Wednesday, so Fruechte’s 1st job is trying to hold the recruiting class together…
UNI is hiring Drake's coach: Fear The FCS: "Todd Stepsis Leaving Drake for Northern Iowa #FCS" — Bluesky
Seems like a good hire.
UNI hiring Drake Coach
UND hiring Winona State OC

Cam Miller wins Offensive Player of the Year
Marty Browns wins Freshman and Newcomer of the Year
Eli Mostaert finishes 2nd to MiQuise Grace from US for Defensive Player of the Year
Tim Polasek finishes 2nd to Bob Nielson from USD for Coach of the Year
All-conference from NDSU
First team: Cam Miller, Bryce Lance, Mason Miller, Grey Zabel, Eli Mostaert
Second team: Marty Brown, Griffin Crosa, Jackson Williams (as a return specialist)
Honorable mention: Sam Jung, Kody Huisman, Caleb Bowers, Truman Werremeyer, Joe Stoffel
All-newcomer: Marty Brown, Trent Fraley, Jackson Williams, Anthony Chideme-Alfaro, Jaylin Crumby
I think Huisman got jobbed - he's a game wrecker at DT. Also surprised Empey didn't make all-newcomer.

Sources say UND is close to announcing San Diego State defensive coordinator Eric Schmidt as the program's next head coach. Official word could still be tonight
