I may disagree with where they put them, but the Committee's excuse/reason whatever you want to call it, I can understand it. Basically because UNH's loss was early and to an FBS they chose them over NDSU because it was an FCS loss close to the end of the season. In the end it doesn't effect us at all, but you are correct there are bias's invovled in the discussion. Is it intentional, no, but there are always bias's. Thats why they have the number they have on the committee. I still think the bigger problem with the playoff is the regionalization/bus trip rule than what rankings they use.

You can say that now that Coastal Carolina lost, but that same reasoning could have put CC at #1, UNH at #2, and NDSU at #3 if Coastal finished undefeated.

Completely agree on the bus trip rule being #1 priority though.

Whatever method it is that the selection committee is using, it still puzzles me as to why New Hampshire would be the #1 seed. There's gotta be some bias involved in that decision.

New Hampshire's Athletic Director was on the committee. There was an article posted on AGS, he was quoted saying he thought New Hampshire deserved #1.

It is all he knows and he has a short memory. That is the only explanation. Since #1 matters a whole lot more come January, they can have it now.

Pftttt....sagarin has bison by 12+ on a neutral field and 15+ if we meet on our home field either north or south...plus they are a bunch of east coast pussies who folded like a cheap tent last year

I think that the Coastal loss saved the committee from making a tough decision. But I honestly don't think that they would've place CC over NDSU or UNH. And the guy they interviewed on the show did say that strength of schedule is an issue across FCS and that several teams have improved their schedules over the past 2 years. He really dodged the B-C and Idaho St questions, but I think when you look at it in the long run, I was satisfied with the answers they gave. But in the end there is only 1 thing that matters...take care of our own business and then the committee doesn't have a choice.

I'd imagine something like the score of the semifinal against UNH last year. Which would probably mark the last time a 1 loss NDSU wasn't guaranteed home field advantage throughout.
