until then, you can keep dissing the MAC or whatever. but they have it SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than the MVFC. NDSU is the gem of the MVFC. is any other program even worth the breath to move up with or can NDSU just please do this solo?
That schedule would be a blast.

For all you MAC haters. Go to hell!!!!!!!!!!!!! $700,000 per team per year. And growing of the brand.

Currently, what is NDSU's share of the MVFC TV contract and the Summit League's TV contract? LOL

Whats the revenue lost for having games on Tues/Weds instead of Sat? Also are the schools responsible for ads and do the schools have to pay for university ads during the programming for slots that ESPN cannot sell?

Zero for NDSU. Not every game is on Tuesday/Wednesday. NDSU cannot sell 19,300 for a nationally televised game on a Tuesday? You think that lightly of our growing fan base?

NDSU doesn't sell 19300 tickets for Saturday afternoon games. What makes you think that being Nationally Televised would sell more tickets, on a School night, when there are a large number of people that come from out of town.

This isn't 1915. People have motor vehicles. People cannot get 5 hours of sleep on game night or miss a day of work if they are going to travel? You make it sound like NDSU would draw 10,000 for the 2 games on Tuesday or Wed.

So NDSU should based it's decision not to join the MAC because some of the fans would be inconvenienced for having to tailgate on a workday as opposed to a Saturday on two games out of six?

(The 19,300 was based on the small amount of expansion the Dome is playing to do.)

What is the economic impact of 10 playoff games over the past 4 years? I don't know the numbers and don't want to look them up. I also wonder how much the playoff games has had a secondary effect of businesses supporting Bison athletics which offsets some of the possible direct payout from a conference like the MAC. At what point does NDSU lose that support during any stretches of mediocrity. Does it matter? I see a lot of points about what moving into some of these conferences is supposed to bring, but there isn't much discussion about what the potential losses might be. Travel costs, OOC home game payouts, expanded marketing, and other factors. Do these factors have to add up to two bottom lines. One is the net profit bottom line. Will the athletic department become completely self sufficient or at least decrease being subsidized? The other bottom line is can be surpass our present notoriety. It could be argued we become another Ball State. Who really care about Ball State? Who even knows where Ball State is at? Right now, the college football community is quite aware of NDSU and Fargo.

There is another argument in all of this which is never mentioned. If the MAC wants to expand, why wouldn't Youngstown or even UNI be either as or more attractive than NDSU. Especially YSU. While it doesn't expand the MAC's possible midwest footprint, it makes a lot more sense as far as travel goes for all of it's member institutions. In fact, you could probably argue that there are a handful of FCS programs which might make more sense in the MAC's current footprint. Youngstown could immediately expand their stadium to 25k+, could certainly use that $700k a year as much as anyone, and could operate within the conference at a fraction of the cost as a NDSU. In fact, if being in the MAC is so impressive, if I was YSU I would be begging them to let me in. If the MAC were expanding, it just makes too much sense. I think the real situation here, which happens to be the most important one, is the MAC isn't expanding anytime soon. If they were, it would become a competition and one NDSU might not be able to compete with considering what other schools might be able to bring to the table at much less of a cost. The other side to all of this is if the MAC is so spectacular and is willing to discuss expansion, why is there no other school in the discussion? That seems a bit strange to me.

So you would whore yourself out and make a move that wouldnt be in NDSUs best interest for 700K?
