We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie

Pitt is ahead in ND after three quarters. I wonder what that will do to YSU if it holds.

Bison still in front of the pack, but SHSU is showing up in the rear view mirror. I went to a top-15 this week to show off the MVFC; 60% of the conference makes the grade. Together, the MVFC and Big Sky make up 2/3 of the top-15, with the MVFC having 6 and the Big Sky having 4. The MVFC also continues its strong lead in the conference race. Don't expect it to mean 4 MVFC teams make it in, however; I strongly doubt that will happen.

    Sagarin's predictions for week 10:

It's crazy to think that there is a good possibility that 3 of the top 5 (according to sagarin) won't make the playoffs.

Don't play two FBS or any DII games in a season.

On many different levels two fbs games a season is silly. If I were a coach and my AD was saying we got to schedule two fbs games, I would be terribly concerned about support.

It isn't the talent level that is a problem, it is depth. I just think the pounding alone is detrimental to anyone's season.

Or be like SHSU and do both and be ranked #2?
