Default What do we really know about the Yotes?

    Should be an interesting game.

They have played two FBS teams..lost by 30 and beat the gophers.

Then they hammer a NAIA school. which is like playing Valley City.

I guess we will find out saturday.

What do you guys think, can you tell anything by the games/teams they have played?

I watched parts of the Gopher game and the Minnesota offensive line was pancaking guys left and right but, on the other side of the ball, the Vermillion Varmint looked very impressive - they will give the Bison defense plenty of trouble. Hopefully, the offense can get something done.

agree, from gopher fans I've talked to they had a couple of safties that were clueless and were giving up long passes and were not supporting the run.

Said after a week of practice they would be better, and they were against USC

The gophers were a mess that game. I don't think they even knew what a screen pass was let alone how to defend against it. That killed them several times. If we contain Warren, we win. If not, we won't. And you guys should listen to me because I correctly implied that if we were able to control the LOS against UNI we'd win. We didn't and we lost. Therefore I am a football genius.

They have Morell as their D coordinator and he was at Sioux Falls that had some pretty good D's at that level but he is in his first year with the Coyote program. He is not from the program so they should see improvement game to game as he gets comfortable with them and implements his schemes but it is still early in the season.

Doesn't matter. No matter who you pick, you move the ball. We are preparing for a shootout. Pinball type game. Winner in upper 30's

You can play your 4th string qb and rb and you will move the ball

I mentioned in another post somewhere that USD has only 2 sacks all year and their opponents have only 3 sacks this year. I'm sure Warren helps with the low sack total with his escapability and shiftiness. Hopefully, our offensive line can gel and play well against their D Line. It would be great to see some running lanes open up for the rb's and some more time for whoever plays qb to go through progressions and find open receivers.

    I think that's a given
