It does matter.........because if it was due to issues with the way Bohl was telling Breske how to run the defense, or the talent on the field and how smart they are, there will still be defensive shortcomings next year.

yeah i guess your right, my point is no matter this year we have Bohl and a group of good looking recruits so fretting over Breske isn't going to change anything. But like I said if they were surprised that Breske brought a 3-4 they must not have interviewed him as everyone who followed UM and UWYO football knows he had 3-4's

sorry but Breske was horrible last year. Look at shsu game. seriously make some frickin adjustments. even the last game of the year vs ysu on that td and 2 point conversion. our db was lined up completely wrong, and that is unacceptable in the last game of the year. guys were always out of position. and when you don't have the talent to go man to man, use cover 2. also, isu game, make a sceme adjustment to stop the swing pass. how many yards did that receiver have. unacceptable. good luck montana.

you can rip Bohl for hiring Breske, but don't rip Bohl for the shit job Breske did. Bohl did the right thing by letting him go. he never fit in here, and both parties are better off now.

When we play Montana in a couple of years, I feel pretty good about us winning the offense (Vigen) vs defense (Breske) chess match in that one.

The situation wasn't right. Breske likes 3-4 while we run and recruit kids for a 4-3 tampa two.

You need completely different athletes to run his scheme. Not a good fit at all.

We will see what Montana does as they run a tampa two also....

If a recruit decides to start school in the summer can they participate in the off season conditioning etc. with the team?

I don't believe they even have to start school. They just have to find a place to live in town since the dorms aren't open. This is the way it was back in the day before the transition. Doubt it changed but it could have.

To give some people something interesting to discuss, thereby giving me something that's fun to read. I just love a good conspiracy. Next silly question...

I do think that they have to start taking classes in order to participate in the summer off season training.

You could be right road. I know up until a few years ago that wasn't the case. Also the current players don't have to be enrolled in summer classes and all workouts are voluntary under NCAA rules so I don't know. Sounds like a question for Hammer.
