I found today that Pomerenke was named First Team All State in Iowa on the Offensive Line. Good football state. Congrats to him. Our offensive line is going to be nice for a long time.

Everyone just relax, all right? Believe me, if there's one thing Ron Burgundy knows, it's women.
Rivals has Jackson at 4.42/40
If Fred ran a 4.23 40 the big big boys would be all over him. AL, FL, TX, OK, USC etc.
Yep....Freddy can fly....
"After playing the past few years behind Craig Loston, last year's number one safety nationally who signed with LSU, this was my time to shine," Fred Jackson said. "Being selected as a team captain this year though was my first big honor and an early indication that is was going to be a good season. We finished 6-5 which is not as good as we would've liked, but it was still a good year."
Helping Jackson to prepare for a good senior season was a summer spent at several national combines including the US Army combine, the Ivy League Combine at Columbia University, and the Nike Austin Combine.
"The Army combine was a great experience, as it helped me become an even better player," Jackson said. "While there I got to face the nation's best competition, and anytime you go against the best, you're going to get better."
Another feature that has drawn the attention of college coaches is Jackson blazing fast speed. Timed last summer with a 4.23 40-yard time, Jackson is an elite track star, having appeared in the junior Olympics six times since starting to compete at age nine.
So far his great on the field play has drawn the attention and offers of several SWAC schools such as Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Grambling State, and Prairie View A&M, while also getting attention and offers from ULM, Navy, and North Dakota State.
Despite the various sizes of schools courting Jackson, there are several things he's looking at before making a decision.
"I'm looking for a school that I'll be comfortable at and where I can become a better player," he said. "A school's depth chart and graduation rate are two more things that I researched on all of the schools, but probably more important though is the academics, as I know making it to the NFL is a tough task."
