    Another Michael Allen story: http://www.coachesaid.com/Article/20...emotional-week

Michael Allen’s legs were pumping faster than his heartbeat.

And his heart has been working overtime.

Allen’s father, Michael Allen II, died mid-week after a long history of health issues sustained from an accident a handful years ago.

“It was a super emotional week,” Allen said. “I never thought of not playing.”
Chandler Hamilton coach Steve Belles left it up to Allen on the decision to play.

The Hamilton senior running back had one of his typical runs, making tacklers miss in the hole, outrunning linebackers on the second level, on Hamilton’s first touchdown drive of the game..

Allen, who finished with a game-high 99 yards on 18 carries to finish the year with 1,393 yards, hung back outside of the celebration and took it all in as his teammates celebrated..

Wow, seems like the recruiting really has momentum. Nice to see.
Am I wrong to think the remaining 6 players with offers have some added pressure to give their verbal sooner rather than later?

So that's 21 verbals and we have 23 (iirc) schollies available, correct? WR (Vraa) and a kicker still to come?

Vraa would be very nice but a kicker is an absolute must. If we can't get a kicker in here to kick in a dome I don't know what to think. You would have thought that would be priority #1. You can throw all the talent you want out there but if you are going to miss extra points and field goals your going to lose some games you should win. See the last two years.

I think only the coaching staff knows how many scholarships they have available to distribute in full or partials.

    Hmmm...

Looks like to me they are counting on Vraa coming.

so the last scholarship will go to Jackson or Littlejohn.

I would guess with the signing of the JC LB Berry is out.

This is just speculation on my part. Not sure where the kicker fits in...

There is the newest Bison's rivals page. 2 star on rivals. The rich get richer in the backfield. Damn.

Guys, do you really think we don't have a plan at Kicker? Really? I think they are visiting. You don't get a bombsquad recruiting class and not have a kicker. Have we had a kicker the last 4 years? Clearly it is a need.

Also, the Berry LB from has always been doubtful. He was a Charlie Camp recruit to my knowledge and never really a shot. I think they moved on with different LB's and I think the strategy to bring in two Juco's and let the young studs redshirt will be really smooth.

I think you are pretty close to the mark. If (in our wildest dreams), Jackson and Littlejohn both wanted to come to NDSU, I bet the staff would find a way to make it work. They probably have a little flexibility and those two are both potential difference makers on defense.
