Anyone know how solid the verbal is from Trevor Gebhart? Putting two and two together from the USD video yesterday and TV's chat today I'd say we might not get him. Could be the other kid from SF too I guess but I'm leaning towards the WR. Hope I'm wrong about this but these guys are all in Sioux Falls and they sound like they know something.

According to the USD coach, we put a gun to his head. So if he values his life, he'll stick to his verbal. Maybe Bohl should have threatened his family instead.

Don't use USD videos to do your recruiting math. Not sure what TV posted but Coach Meierkort's comments about NDSU reeked of desperation and envy.

Fact: Verbals are verbals. Yeah, a BCS school might sweep in and lure a guy away - that's why NDSU keeps in contact with a large group of recruits. Only way we lose verbals to a school like USD is if Coach M. convinces them that Coach Bohl is going to get fired (or a kid comes to bisonville on his own, reads the rants, and decides the Bohl is going to get fired.)

TV mentioned in his chat today that he sees NDSU losing one of the recruits from south dakota.

If that's true, may that kid rot in transition hell. But I mean that in the nicest way possible.

found it in the chat log

"Do you think NDSU has a chance of losing some of there verbals with the horrible season they had? Those kids committed way early and i think they are going to here alot about how NDSU is going down from other coaches!!

Yes, I think the Bison will lose at least one verbal. I'll leave it at that. - TVac"

Probably right Tony, I was thinking SDSU though for the Gebhart kid not so much from the USD video but from TV's comments. He knows something or at least thinks he does, said to look for it on Tuesday if I remember right.

If one of these recruits do leave, they will miss a great opportunity. I personally feel that in two years the Bison will be a tough team to beat. This years recruits can either join and help build the team into something special or miss out. There loss, not the teams as the program want guys that want to be a "Bison".

If the recruit is only looking at the win-loss record, they may leave anyway as the school may not be the right choice for them... Maybe it would be better if they go now!?!?

There's something that really pisses me off about that and they're only applicable if the kid does back out of his commitment. First, you gave your verbal, can't stick to your word, fine didn't need you anyway. Maybe you'll be happier being closer to mommy and daddy playing for a team that just now became relevant after nearly a 100 years of football. Second, TV's confident enough in his info to post it publicly and he knows it because he's probably heard it from a coach who's talking about poaching recruits who have already knowingly verbaled to a different school. Kind of a slimy move by SDSU if you ask me. I'm sure it happens more than I'm aware but I don't recall hearing NDSU going after recruits that have verbaled elsewhere, let alone a conference rival. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't want to get into a pissing match or anything here because I have no information on the subject and its the first I heard about this. Just something to consider - if it is WR Gebhart TV is talking about, his dad and his uncle graduated from SDSU and both are in the SDSU Hall of Fame. Maybe that has an impact too, but I doubt it. I understand the frustration of commitments backing out as we experienced that recently as well. This is all conjecture though, because nothing has been said publicly.
EDIT: Keep in mind USD's coach brought this up.

I'm going to learn from recent mistakes and save my anger for if this is true.
