"I went to Northern Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, North Dakota State. Going to all those schools I kind of had a top three in my mind. I chose North Dakota State, Northern Illinois and Minnesota. When I went to NDSU I just felt something. I just liked the town I liked everything there."

I thought I read somewhere he was offered preferred walk-on status. Could be wrong though.

    Gotta like this quote...

"They offered me this summer so they offered me early. That was something I liked. They showed they wanted me and wanted me early. They called me every single week and some of these other schools wouldn't call at all. NDSU just stayed on recruiting me hard. The coaches made me feel at home. The coaches weren't like other coaches. They didn't just throw the school at you, they seemed real."

It was never really confirmed, it was stated as something from Minnesota, so let the speculation begin haha. Either way, thats a good sign IMO.

I can't give you a link, but I heard from a very reliable source that Beck's NDSU offer is for a walk-on.

I follow it pretty closely and I have never heard that an offer was close to the table - My "Guess" too is that he would have preferred walk-on status.

It's really too bad he got hurt in the playoffs prior to M/R winning the state title at the Dome. Many more poeple could have seen what a talent he was/is.

I would love to get this guy. He is big and fast. He's 6'5" 230lbs. Can run and throw. His team is at this point up 25-0 in the Wisconsin Division 6 title game going on today.
