Schell runs a 4.95?? That's a little scary if you ask me. I haven't seen how he runs, so it could be a problem with mechanics. There is no way you can be an elite back with speed anywhere close to that. He also has relatively high body fat percentage at 13%, with a relatively low body weight. Granted, if he muscles up he'll add some decent weight, but at what cost to his athleticism?

Do you assume he is going to go big ten with minnesota, or do you think he might really consider NDSU?

As for myself, I don't feel that NDSU's program has been inferior to Minnesota's since the 60s. We've had many teams that would have had their lunch. Their new stadium will help. We'll lose most battles with any Big 11 program...but the fact that we're trying is relatively new. We think 'BIG' at North Dakota State. Always have.

We'll get one once in a while. Gopher fans don't like our presence at all. Neither do Northern Iowa fans.

My guess is that with Camp and Breske on the staff we will see more western kids from CO, NV and CA, possibly AZ in the recruiting mix as they try to upgrade the athleticism of the LBs and DBs. These are areas these two guys have been recruiting for years.

It's extremely fertile recruiting ground...but they gotta be careful with attitude.

NDSU Brandon Jemison ran a 4.88. I thought he had elite speed? Schell ran a 4.7 when they ran times for their coach during preseason.

ahh 4.7 is a *bit* better, but I'd be willing to bet he'd be our slowest back. He's also rather small, so he probably should be fast. Just my .02.

He is built though and runs tought. He runs like a small town ND kid. Not a whole lotta juckin and jivin.

Yeah, I've never seen him play, so just going off the numbers in front of me. Just want to make sure we keep the talent up rather than just going after a small town ND kid if there are question marks I could be completely off, but I figured I'd atleast point it out!

ehh... i think ppl put way too much emphasis into 40 times. i'd prefer football speed over straight line speed

man, there are so many things wrong in this post that i don't even know where to start.

speaking as an outsider with no allegiance to either the U of M or ndsu there is one thing that you folks from the ndsu fighting sue need to get through your stubborn, thick heads when you think about your little win now going on almost three seasons ago: your ALL-TIME greatest football team (not sure how long you have been playing football) beat the U of M's ALL-TIME worst team (in 127 years of playing football - since 1882!) by a measly 6pts! that is it.....nothing more! it was the perfect storm for your squad and the only reason you even won that day. let it go already! you would not have eaten their lunch in other game and you didn't eat their lunch in that game. do you seriously think appalachian state fans still talk about their win over michigan incessantly? no. they have moved on and you should too!

you are not anywhere near the equal of the Minnesota football program or any other big ten program and you never will be. you do not compete with the big ten for recruits those teams actually want. i know many of them and minnesota golden gopher fans don't give ndsu or any of your sports team a second thought, so please stop flattering yourself and pretending you are something special up there on the tundra. some of you are just plain delusional. it is laughable!

oh and i almost forgot.....go marquette!
