Oops. My bad. Trying to do to many things at once. I have corrected my original post. Thanks for the catch.

Esala looked like a monster compared to the other kids out there. He was pushing them around at will and showed some speed getting down the field and continuation blocking. He has the size and it would fun to see him at a camp go against kids his size and see what he could do against them.

Sam Cunningham, Hudson, WI, Offensive Left Tackle #78:

Or-search "Youtube and Sam Cunningham and entire highlight" it'll pop up, as well as a couple others posted. A couple others by searching "Youtube and Hudson Football." Sorry, I don't know how to link directly.

NDSU has on offer out to Tinley Park (Ill.) Andrew junior offensive tackle prospect Mark Lenkiewicz (6-foot-5, 250 pounds).

Minnesota just offered, so he know has offers from Minnesota, Toledo, Bowling Green, North Dakota State, Eastern Michigan, Akron, Ball State, Illinois State and Colorado State.

Do you assume he is going to go big ten with minnesota, or do you think he might really consider NDSU?

I wouldn't count out anyone that has offered, especially if he likes the system and feels he can contribute early. Some players look for the big fish in a small pond feel that some of the smaller schools can provide. Personally, I will say it's going to be tougher to recruit against the goofs with their pending schedules(USC, Texas, etc), but we'll see how they end up.

I agree about not couting anyone out, but my guess is it's unlikely. I think recruits are looking at, among many other things: 1) level (Big Ten over the MAC; MAC & MVC tied if the scholarship offer's the same); 2) distance from home; 3) program success/coaches, etc.

I'm sure the young man is a stud, but a 250 lb lineman is not likely an early contributer. Weight room; eat right; redshirt; weight room; eat right; maybe ready; weight room; eat right and then you hope to see that he has added 30+ lbs. If not, DE or DT. The gamble-some tall kids in HS don't put on the weight. Odds favor they will, though.

NDSU to the FBS always. In all ways.

That is what I am talking about. Vegas has some talent that is going unnoticed. I look forward to watching DP play this year and will keep an eye on Berry.

I think the staff won't concede Lenkiewicz to anybody. For one thing, if the kid doesn't work out where he goes, there is always the possibility he will come back to the Bison, as Backowski did. In this later case it didn't work out because of his back injuries, but tweeners like this can make a difference. Lots of FCS schools take this approach.
