Gimmestad is an impressive athlete. He could be a stud on the O line!

Check out this quote from his recent basketball game...

Tyler Gimmestad, Marshall, senior - The NDSU football recruit is one of the most players to watch in the state on the court. At 270, 275, 280 pounds or whatever, this bear is very nimble with unbelievable ball skills and touch on his shot. He scored 17 points fast in the game starting with two treys and than a couple attacks off a sweet crossover. His totals were 26 points, 13 rebounds, and four assists and he's just outstanding to watch play.
Everyone just relax, all right? Believe me, if there's one thing Ron Burgundy knows, it's women.

Oops. I swear I had him on there before - figure I must have accidentally deleted the line while changing the post for something else.

Also added Grothman to the "offered" list.

Anybody see the Bison Media Blog entry from Steve Hallstrom? He talked to Dusty Lotzer and apparently NDSU told him that there are four QBs ahead of him. Anders Lee, for sure but I'm not really sure who else would be ahead of him. Maybe that Illinois QB and the Pelican Rapids one and another (the one from Blaine)?

What about Tate Christopherson from Osseo? I know he had NDSU at the top of his list if I recall correctly.

Scout interveiw with Sonie - (taken from Gopherhole site). Looks thin on offers...has to be academics. Also I think this clears up the question of whether he has a gopher offer. Somebody must have gotten it confused with Moorhead state??

Monter had a great interview with him recently, that's listed on his page. Here's what he mentioned about being recruited:

    Quote:
Sonie is hearing from a variety of schools.

"North Dakota State, St. Cloud State, South Dakota State, Winona State, Moorehead State and a little bit from Minnesota. Moorehead offered me a partial scholarship," he said.

Sonie shined at the Minnesota passing camp and is hearing from the Gopher coaches.

"I am in contact with Coach Roof right now," he said. "We are just talking back and forth. Nothing really serious."

These were his comments on his friendship with Bryce McNeal:

    Quote:
Sonie is close friends with Breck wide receiver Bryce McNeal. He visited Michigan and attended the 7-on-7 passing camp in Akron with McNeal, who committed to the Wolverines, but decided to re-open his recruitment. Minnesota is recruiting McNeal and there has been speculation that the two could wind up at Minnesota together.

"Me and Bryce have talked about it," Sonie said. "Bryce said that if the U offered me, that he would go there. We'll see what happens. Me and Bryce are like best friends."

Sonie said that the two talked about McNeal's recruitment quite often.

"He said that he visited Oregon a couple of weeks ago and he said that he really liked it down there. He is just waiting on the U to offer me to see what happens."

McNeal has kept his recruitment close to the vest, but Sonie said that the two talk about where the Breck wide receiver might play college football.

"I ask him, but he kinds wants me to keep it on the down low. I can't really say," he said.

I agree, it's hard to be impressed by Minot once you've visited Cayuga.

Yes it is... and you haven't partied till you get liquored up in Genesseo either...

Haven't heard anything in the Cities about where Clint Brewster is going to end up.... i would think he would be more than good enough (#8 position ranking) to QB the team... or did i miss the story on him.... That would be awesome with him at the helm... show up at TCF and beat the ole man's team....
