    Sagarin remains bullish on both!

Not sure what Penn State is going to gain by firing Franklin now. Been there 10+ years, has done pretty well. Made the semifinals last year. People give him a hard time about not winning big games i guess.

Some of the buy-outs for these coaches are absolutely insane.....$49M for Franklin, Jimbo's was over $70M at A&M. How the schools even agree to that is beyond me. Found the snippet below from this article....over $100M for Kirby Smart, JFC.

    https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/671...out-explained/

"According to USA Today’s coaching salary database, Georgia coach Kirby Smart currently has the largest buyout in the country at $105.1 million, followed by Ohio State’s Ryan Day ($70.9 million), Alabama’s Kalen DeBoer ($60.8 million), Texas’ Steve Sarkisian ($60.3 million) and Clemson’s Dabo Swinney ($60 million). Because Riley is at USC, a private school, the institution is not required to disclose contract terms via open records laws. Other currently employed coaches with buyouts above $40 million include Florida State’s Mike Norvell, Oregon’s Dan Lanning, Indiana’s Curt Cignetti, Kelly, Nebraska’s Matt Rhule and Illinois’ Bret Bielema."

When they throw that kind of money at any sport, how can we justify subsidizing them with our hard earned tax dollars?

Not the first time this year, but the new rankings on the NCAA site have misspelled Tennessee Tech.
