Okay, I'm going to take a guess on who the football player/wrestler is from Illinois (Chicago) that supposedly commited according to the Bison Media Blog. I'll say it's Jason Schepler (6'3 240 lbs.) from Sycamore, IL. He is the third ranked heavyweight in Illinois and also received quite a few honors as a defensive end in football. There's a link to a story down below. Remember this is only an educated/uneducated guess....

Hehe, I did the same thing except that I guessed Jordan Walsh (6'4 290) from McHenry.

I wonder what the recruits are thinking about the -20 degree weather. I wonder how big of an influence that has on kids?

I remember when we went to the SFA game in Texas. We talked with some of the parents that were there and there were obviously some from Texas. We asked one of parents (don't know who) "What about the cold?" And she said, "He went up there during the coldest part of the year and it didn't matter to him. He just loved it." Bottom line: I think the weather factor is slightly overrated.

Hallstrom said tonight on WDAY sports that the Lund kid's coach said he had B10 talent but was an inch or two too short. Illinois State, N. Iowa and SDSU all offered him.

I think we have about a dozen verbals now and, alas, no QBs. I am a just a tad nervous about that.

WDAY TV6 Sports reported that the BK coach felt that Lund could have played in the Big Ten. However, he was probably a couple of inches two short. He had offers from Illinois St., Northern Iowa and SDSU.

Don't know much about Kolstad but Lund is a great pickup! He's on the Kare 11 all metro team with Bourne-McFarland.. It says he's only a junior? Dan Offerman is on the defensive board. Apparently we've been recruiting Sauer too, who's on the list. The way it looks we could have a ton of great Minnesota recruits on the list. We got 3 already.
