The USD game was masterful.

The usd fake punt was my indicator of excellent coaching overall. Don't jump offsides, timeout before the sneak, ends in real punt. Chefs kiss. Entz doesn't pull that off imo

I'm not sure, but I think USD called a timeout when they weren't able to draw the defense offside. The return team did switch to different formation very quickly when it looked like they were going to go for the first down.

There were two timeouts - one called by USD after they tried to draw NDSU offsides and couldn't. Then they lined up to punt but shifted into tush push formation and Polasek got a timeout very late to the point where they couldn't blow it dead and the play actually went off and they got it but the official on the Bison sideline gave him the timeout. Polasek was pumped after that (at least I think it was Polasek - it may have been another Bison coach reveling in spoiling the element of surprise for the USD special teams). You couldn't see that on the broadcast though sadly.

I was commenting on Dan’s playcalling on Offense, and I don’t think he had anything to do with that particular sequence… that said, completely agree on Coach P > Entz… x 1 million. Dan Larson is also > Roehl x 1 milllllllllllion… very pleased.

If Chain-smoker Entz and Run-Over Minnesota Roehl could and DID win a National Championship, then Coach Tim Polasek and OC Larson certainly can.

Lest i forget about Grant Olson and his million or so tackles against i think Wofford or Georgia Southern.

I don't need any help. Didn't say there wasn't a difference. What I did say is that there are people out there who get paid for their opinions/decisions that see something people here don't. Those people are infinitely less invested in NDSU of course.
