Or, and I'm just spitballing here; maybe after this season, he'll decided that he's tired of kicking around the country playing 2nd string qb and determine it's time for him and his family to establish roots in a community and settle down. I've read that a certain college football team is looking for a quarterback coach.......where's that place again?

If you can't be a starting NFL QB being a backup NFL QB is a great gig to have while you can have it - I'd ride that out as long as possible if I were him. He's got the rest of his life to be a coach if that's what he wants to do after football.

I definitely dislike the Eagles and if I had a dream story it would be for Mahomes to get injured in the the first (although I never wish injuries on anybody) and for Carson to beat his old team. Now that would be a cool national story.

Somehow I don't think Carson will want to take an assistant coaching role in FCS after he leaves the NFL. He doesn't need the money, the horrible hours, travel (recruiting) or the weather in Fargo.

Yeah, although I think Mahomes getting injured is actually probably a popular hope out there, it’s hard to root against that guy… someone will have to explain the hate to me. The guy plays unbelievable and is humble about it too in most interviews I’ve heard… always giving his team credit, etc… if you’re only argument is that tHeY wIn ToO mUcH then why are you a Bison fan?

That said, hell yes, how amazing would it be if Carson got a shot to beat the Eagles.

Back when I was still a recovering Vikings fan I would have harbored significant disdain for the organization that crushed Dream of Glory #1 back in '70*. But I'm fully recovered now for many years and find myself totally objective**. I'm with you on this in that when I have tuned in to a game I have found Patrick Mahomes very entertaining to watch and from all I have seen and/or read he seems to be a decent fellow. So I really don't get the hate either. And as you say, a Bison fan should not be grousing about some other team that wins too much. Hypocrisy zone warning.
