Much easier when you have 85 scholarships instead of 63. And I'm confident we will see FBS jump up to 100 which is crazy
This is on top of full cost of attendance, Alston payments, and a growing collective
The National exposure will open up some doors too and being the main central time zone team helps with TV scheduling
I envision a different approach. Let's poach their fanbase.
I would wager most of us have another college team they favor. Sure were all Bison fans but most of us find ourselves also rooting for other (FBS) teams as well. Let's become "The Dakotas FBS Team". If this is out opportunity to transition to FBS let's use any opportunity to send the message that becoming a Bison fan is compatible with being a Jacks (Yotes or Sioux) fan. We can be their favorite 'big team'. Let's let them know we are excited to welcome them into our fanbase. Maybe, just maybe we can even start to cheer for them in their FCS journey.
Difficult task, but absolutely worth the effort. We will need more fans willing to financially support our FBS journey.
If this happens, I pledge to join the G&G collective and we'll also up our support through Teammakers. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
I currently put in a moderate amount to G&G and nothing to Teammakers, and I’m the biggest NDSU fan I know. Give me a reason to give more and I gladly will. I’m not going to donate extra thousands a year just to watch us punk Illinois State. There are A LOT of bison fans like us.
Bigger question probably is how many companies in the region would start/increase their corporate dollars?

Mountain West, hope for the best.
When McMurphy was on 1660 yesterday, he verbatim said that the Mountain West was only wanting to add ONE team, football-only, as they wanted to get football membership to nine teams to allow for a full 8-game conference schedule. The more I've thought about this, fuck the other regional rivals...there is no reason why we need to allow little brothers to drag along holding our coat-tails, we need to strike while the iron is hot and do what is best for the future of NDSU football, which is immediately accepting a MWC invite, if it indeed comes to fruition.
