SEC/B1G pretty openly talking about their plans to break away and hoard all the wealth.
Making it clear they don't intend to share like the CSFL plan proposed.

So let me get this straight. Out of one side of his mouth, Snakey says "don’t call up anymore FCS teams because you’ll dilute the crumbs that we already give you", while out of the other side he tells them they will just leave them behind soon. Seems like the dumb ones here are the people running the G5 …
Giving up the 6th autobid was the dumbest mistake I've ever seen. They either had incriminating videos or paid people off.
G5 could have had two slots in the CFP this year. Instead going forward they will have to beat out the PAC to get 1 bid. And it feels like a matter of time until that carrot is snatched away too. SEC and B1G are saying they should be guaranteed 4 slots each

‘Brown reports (paraphrasing)--There are schools who Want to go FBS (infers Northern twins), and FBS leagues who have shown interest--BUT making the "finances" work for both sides is a Problem that goes past the "bounds" of just the athletic department …’
Someone with closer ties to Xtra Points might be able to infer some insight. Sounds like media deal constraints or student fee issues

NDSU to the FBS always. In all ways.
Right now plans for our game time with SDSU are in limbo because we are at the mercy of the whims of disney. This will be commonplace once we go FBS. This will complicate lodging reservations and choosing flights for the fans. A good problem to have, but certainly an annoying reality of nationally televised games.
