Toledo is literally in the Eastern time zone, the MWC is going to stretch four time zones. But to go football only would mean putting other sports in a completely different conference as well because the MAC will tell them to hit the road. So you are going to park your other sports in the Horizon league just to play football across four times zones...doubt that is happening.

Speaking of east and north. There is a report that the MW has reached out to Northern Illinois and Toledo.

Rumor on a forum somewhere? This is a very odd one.
The idea being its the best FBS teams they can find to add?

At least it would make the MAC more open for business.

So maybe this expands the MW footprint and is what gets us in the door.
We would no longer be an outlier.

All depends on what else MW has in mind.
The rumor says football only for those two, so must be more to come.
