WR Raylen Sharpe announced last week that he would return to Missouri State. He had previously entered the Transfer Portal.

College football sucks. FCS schools are just training grounds for players. Once they are good enough the big boys pay them and they are gone.

Hate what has happened and the NCAA doing absolutely nothing to fix it.

That's right. And I'm afraid the NCAA doesn't see it as broken. If they can make more money by getting a semi-pro level of top college teams they will keep using our programs as feeders.

I’d wager that they think it’s broken now. Their problem is they didn’t realize it was broken at least 25 years ago or if they did they didn’t have the stones to do anything about it. Now they’ve sat around cashing checks and getting fat for so long they’ve been shouldered out of the process.

It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. The NCAA has about as much control of college football as the Chicago PD had of Al Capone's mob.

The P4 (or whatever it is now) calls all the shots that TV networks don't care about.

I tend to think the NCAA knew this would happen and knew it wouldn't be good for its membership and tried to avoid it. The best and worst thing that happened was the popularity of the Men's tournament and the money it brings. It has been able to fund opportunities in several sports at all levels, but it also made the coaches of the basketball and indirectly big-time football high salary roles. Now with NIL it's a mess that I'm not sure can be fixed

I don't know what the answer is at this point but I've said for at least a small chance they're (I'm not sure who they are ) going to kill the goose that lays the golden eggs.

Iam hoping that this will will find some footing. They will then have to sit down and discuss whats working and whats not. Get things under control. If they cant then I dont see good things happening.
If we concentrated on the really important stuff in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles"

When you play football, you gotta like the taste of blood, And 50 percent of the time, it's your blood.

You don't give out trophies for losing. Trophies for sucking. That's a communist idea. You don't get a trophy for losing. You get a piece of pizza and you shut up. Trophies for losing? What the hell happened to us?

I agree. I transitioned from casual fan to serious fan when the NFL was doing the kneeling stuff. The college FB atmosphere at that time was so vastly different than the NFL, it was refreshing. I cannot envision a casual fan feeling that way about it now. I think the current environment will slow the growth of college FB fanbase.
