Want to know what "WasSU/OrSU" spells? Rhymes with "ducked".

Yeah didn’t take much inference to figure that P12 commissioner was just playing chicken with the end of the current media deal. Trying to get too far down river for any schools to jump before they’re required to sign their souls away to a mediocre agreement.

Colorado was the first to call him on it and when other schools saw that they quit with the kumbaya and started asking the tough questions.
Mountain West, hope for the best.

Subscription based with bonus kickers based on subscribers. Almost impossible to plan and budget for. Who wouldn't opt for the sure thing elsewhere, especially if it's more money!

From a football standpoint the Big 12 will still be at least a notch (likely several notches) below the B1G and SEC. I don't even think they'll be at the ACC's level since I'm not sure there's any schools in the Big 12 that have the same level of commitment to football that schools like Clemson, Florida St, and Miami do in the ACC. The Big 12 will be a fantastic basketball league though, especially if Arizona joins, and considering they were on the brink of falling into obscurity twice (once in 2010/2011 timeframe when they lost a bunch of schools and again when Texas and OU announced they were leaving last year) they've done a nice job re-establishing themselves as a power conference.

Florida State and Clemson won't be in the ACC by week's end, though.
    Insert something clever here...

All of this shit because the richest and most prestigious conference couldn't just tell USC and UCLA to get lost. I can't wait for those programs to join Nebraska at the bottom of the Big10
