Ironically the Big 12 has gone from the raided to the raiders and I'd tend to think the same will happen with the Pac as long as their leadership isn't completely inept - they'll just be plundering from outside the P5 just as the Big 12 did to stabilize itself until it could snatch Colorado back.
Certainly. The PAC could come back. I think Finebaum (who’s just a wild-ass non-SEC hater at this point) is the only one saying to put the fork in them already.
But the problem remains: there is no viable TV deal even being discussed at this point. Until then the only thing that is holding the PAC together is that conferences aren’t actively expanding right now. As soon as the B12 or B10 picks up the phone that all changes.
Until that happens, the PAC is waist deep in it. After SDSU and SMU I’m not sure they really have viable options for replacement that aren’t DOA with the big schools in the conference.
Mountain West, hope for the best.
