I agree. I haven’t responded much to this thread lately because I feel like I’ve shared my opinion and there isn’t much more to add. I can understand both sides. There isn’t an obvious clear answer. Realism would actually be stating something similar to that. Daddy Daycare isn’t a realist, he’s a pessimist at least as it relates to an FBS move. If he was a realist he would acknowledge that.

Yeah I guess it’s just something I think is really important. And it’s the off-season. Once the season fires up I’m all on board and I’m sure I won’t post in this thread as much. I’m sure that’ll make some people happy haha.

I do believe NDSU will be FBS. It just ain't happening until the dominos of college football start collapsing. And when that happens I don't think being in the shit storm CUSA is a better place than the MVFC.

I understand realism. I just don’t understand your constant need to shit all over everything. The reality is that you don’t know anymore than anyone else here. You play the pessimist so if NDSU doesn’t move you can say you were right. Cool. I guess I’m more interested in intelligent discussion. There are people in this discussion who believe similar to you, however they also acknowledge that there is a path to FBS right now. They just don’t think it’s wise. Your stance is…well i don’t know what your stance is other than to be an eternal pessimist about any scenario brought up.

Whats your idea of actively? Its seems if NDSU doesnt actually tell the fan base what they are doing they arent actively looking. Even though there has been a lot going on behind the scenes.

Since you’re “in the know”, is this activity behind the scenes recent or has it been happening for awhile? I think some of the frustration here is that it feels a bit more recent and that seems a little late to the party from my perspective. I know Chapo is his own worst enemy but I think there is some truth to the fact that NDSU leadership was caught off guard by the declining attendance and from my perspective it feels like that along with the moves by JMU, JSU and SHSU has finally forced their hand.

My idea of actively is not answering questions about FBS with “If the phone rings I’ll pick it up” or whatever the heck the quote was. The stakeholders do not see the vision or the direction of the AD and are cancelling their season tickets in droves because of it. I’m glad that you get some information and feel comfortable sharing it here. The vast majority of us are not so lucky.

You can’t blame the fans for not knowing what the president and AD are doing if they always deflect or (supposedly falsely?) claim that they haven’t done anything.
