Just because you are an “out” Christian (as if that’s even a thing) people don’t dislike you for that (unless they some sort of wacky fundamentalist). People don’t like being told what to believe. I have no evidence that Wentz behaves that way. He’s seems pretty low key (perhaps even no key) about evangelizing.
People (in my experience) also don’t dislike people because they aren’t vaccinated. Being a bad teammate is not the same thing as being a bad person.

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie
The owner said it was a mistake. He's going to do what is best for his team and he felt so strongly that he traded him despite losing draft picks and not having a QB to replace him with. That's all I need to know. Stats mean nothing if you can't beat Jacksonville. I remember thinking after that loss that he had played his last game.

The following scene is strictly and 100% fictional. Any resemblance to real persons is completely coincidental.
The characters in this 100% fictional scene are:
Crazy Owner Dude (aka COD)
Ginger Bro
COD: Hey Ginger Bro, come on my private jet plane. What do you think of it?
Ginger Bro: Very nice, sir. Could fit a lot of food ration packs for the starving in Haiti.
COD: Want a drink?
Ginger Bro: No thank you sir.
COD: Want any of these pills or powder stuff?
Ginger Bro: No thanks, sir.
COD: Interest you in a Covid Vaccine? I made it myself, I can personally jab you...
Ginger Bro: Thank you for the kind offer, but I'll have to pass.
COD: I want my team to be all chips in - can you confirm my team will be the highest priority in your life?
Ginger Bro: Actually, God comes first, but I promise to give you my best effort.
COD: So we're 2nd priority?
Ginger Bro: Actually, my family comes 2nd.
COD: OK, so 3rd?
Ginger Bro: Well, my charity foundation feeds starving and low income kids...
[The two gaze silently staring out the window for the rest of the flight....]
[Scene fades to black]
As a final note - for the live performance and/or movie, COD will be played by Billy Bob Thornton, and the Ginger Bro will obviously be played by California resident Harry Mountbatten-Windsor, if his wife permits it.
Yeah, it's almost like they are trying to hold the locker room together during the season or something.
And you imply scapegoat was needed like there wasn't an epic collapse or something. I don't think anyone has said there isn't a ton of blame to go around. But when over 15% of your salary cap is going to someone (not to mention a very similar amount his previous team ate in a dead cap hit just to move on), that person is very likely going to be the most heavily scrutinized.
The owner is flat out nuts. He obviously never wanted Carson to begin with and it 100% his decision nobody else’s based on comments from others. I was watching ESPN this morning and listening to Swago was a mistake. These guys constantly spread misinformation as his exact quote was reich wanted to get rid of wentz and had enough. I simply do not buy it.
Then the ESPN guys talked about how the 49ers had to keep jimmy G and how good he was. I mean the guy has worse stats than wentz and is injury prone. It was a bad 15 minutes to watch as a bison fan but I believe some of these guys on these shows do very little homework and just sore stuff just like all the late night political shows theses days. This is ruining our society along with social media where all sorts of lies are spread everywhere. I feel really bad for Wentz. As a Christian myself I agree with your statement and I doubt he pushes it on teammates unless they ask.
If it flies it dies.
Long for the days of freezing in the south stands of Dacotah Field.
"Trying to hold the locker room together" lol. So there's one cracked out alcoholic owner saying something vs. players and coaches who are putting their names on the line saying he's a great teammate. Similar to in Philly where one washed up WR threw stones and hid hands. Again, the QB from a small school who lacks PR savvy and doesn't quite fit in makes for an easy target. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Irsay brought him in with the idea that if things went south he'd have Carson to blame. Hell when Ryan comes in and stinks it up, I bet Irsay blames it on Carson too somehow.
I didn't imply anything, a scapegoat was needed because of the collapse. Losing against the Jags was absolutely inexcusable. The team lost the game and had a season that didn't meet expectations. Carson rightfully deserves his share of the blame for that, but to blame the entire season on him and claim that the situation is now fixed because he's gone is ridiculous.
Not even sure why I'm trying to argue with you, you're obviously here to just sling mud
Mountain West, hope for the best.
