    Ko Kieft recruiting article.....

Kieft wrote in a text message that he was swayed by “a chance to play Big Ten football and the great undergrad programs at Minnesota involving the medical field.”

Heres something I just dont get. How many times have we heard that our players play with a chip on their shoulders because they were passed up by the big boys? Especially MINNESOTA. But when a recruit passes us up to play at MN they are now supposed losers. So why isnt there the angst about players who wanted to play at MN but were passed up and came here? But since they are here they thump their chests because they passed them up. What a tangled web reconciling bullshit that is.

Interesting thought. I think that was a common theme during the transition years when we weren't eligible for the playoffs and Bohl used it as motivation to beat the Gophers. Although I contend players who were passed over by Power 5 teams tend to play with a chip on their shoulder. Once a player gets the offer, they may not have that chip on their shoulder anymore. But in Kiefs case, he's probably more pissed he didn't get an Iowa offer.

Sad story - The person Kieft was wrestling over the weekend died in the match:

"A standout Spencer wrestler died Saturday night after collapsing earlier in the day during a championship match at his hometown tournament.

Austin Roberts, a returning state medalist, fell to the mat after a stoppage in action in the final minute of the Spencer Invitational’s 220-pound title match. The Spencer senior was wrestling Sioux Center’s Ko Kieft, an all-state football player who recently accepted a scholarship to play at Minnesota."

What do bison fans trolling other boards say about us? Hopefully nothing. This just proves that there are sad losers out there. We have our fair share. Bison4peat said it best. It defines you as a person to be trolling a team's board that you haven't played in years and don't have scheduled for years. Fix your life.

Austin's passing was pretty hard on the wrestling community as a lot of people were talking about it within the social media wrestling world. Hopefully for Ko, he doesn't put any blame on himself as these types of deaths happen way too much in athletics.
    Hail the BISON!!!
