I agree. Anything but average. He threaded some balls today. Nice to see him connect with that long one to RJ. Has been overthrowing them this year. The timing is coming along. UN_ defense wasn't bad. Offense was offensive. Terrible. Their D backs missed a bunch of tackles. SDSU is going to be a tough one if the run game doesn't get going. Fun game to be at. Damn it was loud. Playoff loud.

I have been around since 1981 and realize that the expectations for Bison football are really high. Beyond that, they have become somewhat unrealistic and we have been spoiled over the last few years. Three games in and the offense has put up over 36 points average, but there is something wrong with the offense. The defense has played great the last two games. There is always room for improvement and there certainly was today. Win by 25 and it should be more. Perfection is never going to happen and some it seems will never be satisfied. We have officially become victims of the "Oklahoma Syndrome" of the 50's and 60'swhere winning is not good enough, it always has to be better. Maybe that's the nature of BV>

If fans don't expect better how can the players or coaches. We "are not there". Plain and simple. I'd bet a lot the coaches think the same. O line needs to gel.

I seriously doubt we're opening up the playbook in OOC games, especially against teams like UND where we can be very vanilla and win.

We can always expect better, just saying that sometimes the expectations are not realistic.

I said this after the Weber game too.... It looks like it is going to be very tough for teams to run the ball on us this year which I think is the most important aspect of a good defensive team. Granted, we have played 3 teams from the Big Sky, a conference not known for playing physical football, but we have given up only 56ypg through the first three. Didn't an old football coach say, If you can stop the run......

1) We should have put up 50 on these guys.
2) 61 yards of total offense. Great job by the Defense.
3) The running game still isn't there. Take away a few big runs by King and it's even worse. I said it last week and I'll say it again: the 4 back rotation is not working.
4) Can we hit a wheel route td in every game? I hope so.
5) Thoughts and prayers for the injured UND player. That looked bad.
6) Special teams would have lost us the game against a team that wasn't so ungodly terrible. Something has to change there and fast.
7) How bad is Wyoming? USD beat Drake 52-0 today and they hung with UND.
8) I like the production out of our WR's. It was a nice coming out party for Shepherd. But where the hell are our tight ends?
9) I'm glad this is over. The game never should have been played and I hope it isn't again for a long time. The media can bitch and moan all they want but the fans don't want this. The state doesn't need it. It's over.

I HATE watching a game where just trying to end the game by using the clock without trying to score---its gotta suck for players too to keep their focus on making plays
