Do people in North Dakota get to watch it on espn3...or is it blacked out?

Like you, the "spite" comment was pretty funny to me.

There have been like 4 games in the past decade where you could say scheduling un_ would have been more advantageous for NDSU than who they scheduled. All four of them ended up because the Bison got backed into a corner by other institutions. Otherwise, scheduling OOC FCS opponents from outside the area and FBS opponents will always be great for NDSU. Some are probably equal to a un_ on the schedule, but none are worse. I continue to want to see NDSU schedule OOC games with opponents from other conferences mixing it up with the top teams from the Big Sky and other FCS conferences. One FBS, one top FCS, and one tune up every year would be perfect. un_ every 5 years or so is about the most I ever care to see. I want to see other FCS programs and scheduling un_ takes away from that.

I can but that is only because my Fiancee has a Comcast email. It's really convenient for me to watch the CFL, Arena Football, or Bison Basketball games.

Obviously, I go to the home games but I watch the away games on there also.

A lot of people cannot around Fargo because of the internet providers. I am not sure if people with Midcontinent can or not.

I agree...and I don't like this year's schedule for this reason. It started out weird in Montana...and has 3 Big Sky games. Not

If UND had an open date in '14, they would have had a "chance" at the home and home.

My timing could be off (maybe we needed the home game this year and Weber said only if you come out here in '14), but I swear we were the desperate ones in the situation.

    And this...
Not that I recall. How I remember it....uNOd kept hounding us for a game and Big G said fine we will play you, but its going to be 2 games both in Fargo and all you get a $100K per game (AKA Peanuts) . The said F that to which Big G Said, fine, OK, no worriers. Once Big G retired the unides came back and said hey AD Mathews how about a home for home game and the interim AD "PM" said, NO! The offer on the table is 2 in Fargo or nothing and a hundred K guarantee. The Sun dogs countered with 2 in Fargo but they get a higher payout. PM counted with no the deal...it is what it is take it or leave it. Pressured by a certain big time donor they WHooooooo accepted. That is how I remember it going. I am sure the bunker folks recall it going differently :-)

I was referring to why we scheduled Weber.

As for the timeline you provided, it's pretty accurate (as far as someone with zero visibility into that can say at least), but you have to backup a few years.

Big G fell to the pressure and submitted a home and home
F said FU, we want an ongoing game scheduled
Big G said, here's an every other year agreement
F said FU, we want one every year
Big G said, how about two in Fargo
    F said HELLZ YEAH!

Pretty much UND has fucked this up at every corner. NDSU owes them nothing.

I think the very first contract that GT sent in 2003 or 2004 was a 4 game contract (2 in Fargo and 2 in GF). The way he found out that they weren't going to accept it was when a reporter called him for a comment AFTER the UND Press Conference.

Oh tony please let this thru.

Gene was never ever ever going to sign a contract, he was pissed by 2003 press conf and getting back stabbed for years by scheduling and the legislature.
Enter Prakash, when gene left faison & Kelley scrambled to the phones calling Prakash. Prakash was interim and ALREADY ON HIS WAY OUT OF NDSU VIA RETIREMENT..

Prakash was so honored to talk to Kelley the president that he begged Bresciani to play the game because of the whole legislature, good for funding bullcrap.

Guess what.. Prakash went out with a bang like the fraternity at the end of animal house. This was and is a black eye for NDSU and WILL diminish all we've accomplished over the last 10 years without the anchor of und around us.
I'm sorry, but small town folks like jack micheals pinto, heitcrap and your grandpa from hoopoe are getting their jollies off this weekend. But this hurts NDSU and it's future growth. Period and I am selling my tickets in the exchange I tell NDSU donations every single time they call me. (Go FBS & get und off the schedule and I'm in for $2500/year
NDSU TO FBS. HAVEN'T WE WON ENOUGH?
