I know Joel Heitkamp personally. Whether you love or hate his political views, he is a rural North Dakotan resident and had devoted his life to this state. He truly cares about the state of North Dakota and his genuine admiration for NDSU football is real, despite the fact that he is a UND alumni. He is a great ambassador for the state of North Dakota.

Like I mentioned before, this is why the run game was underwhelming…we had the O line to dominate but just didn't seem to be able to get that done. Whether that's play calling or credit to Griz defense or maybe both. I know we had 229 yards of rushing, but Carson had 70 of those yards. I grew up watching NDSU football and am used to the smash mouth, get 4 yards, then do it again. Maybe we will get there but the offense seemed a little lost as to it's identity.

I think it would be a safe bet to assume that there will be a lot more ground and pound these next two games.

One loss is not a season ender. The Bison have the talent and will get better.

Not good enough to close out a game. O-line is supposed to be the strength of the team. I'd bet a beer they feel the same.

We all knew our defense would be young and need some time.... We gave up 550 yds and 38 points... Can't Put that anywhere but on the d..... As far as the dbacks looking bad I'd say a lot of them looking suspect is due to no pressure on the qb we need to generate some pressure up front and at the end of the game we were running the prevent and all that does is prevent you from winning
