I say we get a kid who wants to be a Bison and will work his ass off to make the team better. If his heart isn't all here, I don't think he will give it his all. I remember reading something that Jose Moehler said along the lines of "football is ever thing up there(North Dakota) and everybody goes to the games, thats where I want to play", something like that and that is the kind of kid I want to come and play football here. Not somebody who will be here second guessing his decision every day he is here.
Thank goodness you aren't a recruiter. LOL There is allot that goes in to making a decision on where to accept a scholarship. These are 17 year old kids we are dealing with. You cant just commit to a school on a whim. A recruit can get all caught up in the whirlwind of the recruiting process and it can get confusing when you've got people pulling you in different directions. Hopefully the kid has a check list(thats how I did it) of whats important to him in a school. That can range from academics, miles to home, social life, FBS vs FCS, Style of offense, Where did he feel the most comfortable, facilities etc. Check off the pros and cons of each school. When you look at the schools in a more critical manner the list of schools can get small real quick. But it will usually come down to 2-3 that are close.
You just don't give up on a kid because he didn't commit from the get go when this could be a life decision he is making. PL

When you play football, you gotta like the taste of blood, And 50 percent of the time, it's your blood.
You don't give out trophies for losing. Trophies for sucking. That's a communist idea. You don't get a trophy for losing. You get a piece of pizza and you shut up. Trophies for losing? What the hell happened to us?
