IMO, the Fargodome has been waiting for an indoor roll-up system that has actually been proven to work. If I were in their place, I would want at least two years of data to work from. The tray system at Rogers Centre was a train wreck, and the short-roll system used by NAU and UNI is questionable for high-use, quick-turnover facilities like the FD. Magic Carpet II is what the FD was pinning its hopes on, but they needed a couple years of actual use to see if it would work. Since they seem to be moving ahead with the timetable, Northern Michigan must be happy with the product.
For those that were at the Kansas game, it looks like the new FD turf will be the same stuff(or at least from the same family).
