They’re going to throw the g5 a bone by guaranteeing them a spot for the highest rated G5 team, whether they’re in the top 12 or not. Essentially that team would be the G5 “champion”.

CUSA and MAC would take an undefeated season with at least one p5 win to get that spot. You could probably have a loss in the AAC, MWC or SBC. It gives you a little more margin for error. That being said, approx. 60 teams vying for one spot is always going to be a long shot. Not arguing for us to join CUSA, just pointing out the difference is very slight as it relates to a path to the CFP.

A “bone” that would have more prestige within the college football world than an FCS championship. Plus an opportunity to prove it on the biggest stage against the best competition.

I dont get how NDSU admin and NDSU fans aren't understanding that NDSU in a G5 FBS conference gives them A CHANCE to play in CFPlayoffs
