Lets the G5 and upper FCS merges, football will need more resources to compete....you want to hamstring the program with a hockey ball and chain it has to drag around?
I will say again I like hockey and there was a time when I wanted NDSU to add it but that time has come and gone. Back when the WCHA was the premiere conference I thought it was a doable idea if they would let us in. But so much in college hockey has changed and it isn't really enticing to be a start-up unless you have big money backing you and a top conference that wants you.
Basketball should be our niche after football, let the others have hockey.
Very nice post. NDSU would only get in the WCHA, which is practically all D2 teams playing up. It won't be acceptable to be in a lower level league compared to UN_.
