I love how all the players/coaches willing to go to bat for Carson sign their names to it.
ALL the players who want to cut his throat do it anonymously.

I tend to use the terms, 'low information' or 'ignoramuses'. As an integral part of a certain political party, it is the lamestream media's job to keep the sheeple ignorant.

thats the role of the entire western media, don't be a fool and pretend that the other half of the corporate media isn't even worse. The entire game is to focus on the 17th iteration of the satanic panic of the 80s, so that you don't notice that virtually every publicly traded firm is controlled by a handful of money managers (Vanguard et al) and they run everything

The Commies play in Indy this coming season... as much as I want to see Wentz bury the Eagles this fall I'd take implosions in those Eagles games to see him destroy the Colts and flash ol' drunkie in the Colts owner's box the double birds as he's strolling off the field.

Perfect picture of the media in 2022. What a pathetic "article". And I'm no Wentz apologist. That said I hope he has success in Washington, mostly because if NFL divisions had faces, the NFC East would have the most punchable face.

What is he supposed to say “so and so told me this and such”? Because that would be a super smart thing to do if you never wanted anyone to tell you the truth ever again.

If the owner felt strongly enough about it and was wiling to eat the first round picks, I believe him. When something happens once, it's a fluke. Twice it's a coincidence. 3 times it's a trend. Doesn't mean I don't like Carson. The compete opposite. I wish him well, but his days as a starting NFL QB may be numbered if he can't fix this perception

An owner saying "Wentz was a mistake" is pretty much as close as you will get to an owner blasting someone.
I still write it off as sometimes people/positions don't mesh. If it isn't working its better off for both to move on. I hope Carson has great success in Washington, I am a fan of his as a person, regardless of his religious beliefs.

What something? Be specific. A 3-1 career TD INT ratio? A winning record as a starter? Setting a franchise record for passing yards, without a 500 yard receiver?
-
Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
Irsay's locker room rat must still be on the payroll. Why oust him? Information will dry up for this season. Jimmy ain't completely stupid.

that almost implies that there is something else doesn't it, and if it is a behind the scenes issue, I wouldn't be expect any owner to air that grievance to the press

I'm not saying it was even the wrong move to get rid of Wentz. Sometimes people don't mesh, and that's fine. I'm just tired of all of the sensationalism from "journalists" these days. Nothing more, nothing less.

He said it was obvious. And HerdBot said it was something that happened 3 times.
I'm just curious what that obvious thing is.

Again, it's funny how all these "locker room issues" only come up after the season and when a scapegoat is needed.

Again - believe what exactly? Where do we get this weird expectation that 50+ people are unanimously all going to like a person?
Carson was very well liked by:
Jonathan Taylor
Michael Pittman
Darious Leonard
OLine
Frank Reich
The most important players on that team all showed great support for Carson.
Did Irsay find players negative on Carson? Of course - Carson being an overt and vocal Christian, and/or being unvaccinated for Covid, is easily enough these days to draw strong dislike from Irsay and some of the players. And yes, some others may not have liked his playing style, or certainly his performance down the stretch.
Hell, I don't like most of you on this board...but here I am reading every day... (Purple...maybe???) :hide:
When interviewing at your next job, please have your potential boss reach out to me. I promise to be honest about you, and completely anonymous, of course. Good luck!
-
Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
I have it on very good authority* that Irsay tried to get Carson to do a little yoyo and Carson was like "No, Sir. I'm a Scottie's Meth Barn guy." and Irsay got really mad and traded him to the swamp in response.

What's the 3rd time? - hasn't it just "happened" twice? Also, my understanding is that Carson requested the Eagles trade him (getting that things were not clearly in right direction there) - doesn't that put that as "happened" once?

Just because you are an “out” Christian (as if that’s even a thing) people don’t dislike you for that (unless they some sort of wacky fundamentalist). People don’t like being told what to believe. I have no evidence that Wentz behaves that way. He’s seems pretty low key (perhaps even no key) about evangelizing.
People (in my experience) also don’t dislike people because they aren’t vaccinated. Being a bad teammate is not the same thing as being a bad person.

The owner said it was a mistake. He's going to do what is best for his team and he felt so strongly that he traded him despite losing draft picks and not having a QB to replace him with. That's all I need to know. Stats mean nothing if you can't beat Jacksonville. I remember thinking after that loss that he had played his last game.

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
The following scene is strictly and 100% fictional. Any resemblance to real persons is completely coincidental.
The characters in this 100% fictional scene are:
Crazy Owner Dude (aka COD)
Ginger Bro
COD: Hey Ginger Bro, come on my private jet plane. What do you think of it?
Ginger Bro: Very nice, sir. Could fit a lot of food ration packs for the starving in Haiti.
COD: Want a drink?
Ginger Bro: No thank you sir.
COD: Want any of these pills or powder stuff?
Ginger Bro: No thanks, sir.
COD: Interest you in a Covid Vaccine? I made it myself, I can personally jab you...
Ginger Bro: Thank you for the kind offer, but I'll have to pass.
COD: I want my team to be all chips in - can you confirm my team will be the highest priority in your life?
Ginger Bro: Actually, God comes first, but I promise to give you my best effort.
COD: So we're 2nd priority?
Ginger Bro: Actually, my family comes 2nd.
COD: OK, so 3rd?
Ginger Bro: Well, my charity foundation feeds starving and low income kids...
[The two gaze silently staring out the window for the rest of the flight....]
[Scene fades to black]
As a final note - for the live performance and/or movie, COD will be played by Billy Bob Thornton, and the Ginger Bro will obviously be played by California resident Harry Mountbatten-Windsor, if his wife permits it.

Yeah, it's almost like they are trying to hold the locker room together during the season or something.
And you imply scapegoat was needed like there wasn't an epic collapse or something. I don't think anyone has said there isn't a ton of blame to go around. But when over 15% of your salary cap is going to someone (not to mention a very similar amount his previous team ate in a dead cap hit just to move on), that person is very likely going to be the most heavily scrutinized.

The owner is flat out nuts. He obviously never wanted Carson to begin with and it 100% his decision nobody else’s based on comments from others. I was watching ESPN this morning and listening to Swago was a mistake. These guys constantly spread misinformation as his exact quote was reich wanted to get rid of wentz and had enough. I simply do not buy it.
Then the ESPN guys talked about how the 49ers had to keep jimmy G and how good he was. I mean the guy has worse stats than wentz and is injury prone. It was a bad 15 minutes to watch as a bison fan but I believe some of these guys on these shows do very little homework and just sore stuff just like all the late night political shows theses days. This is ruining our society along with social media where all sorts of lies are spread everywhere. I feel really bad for Wentz. As a Christian myself I agree with your statement and I doubt he pushes it on teammates unless they ask.

"Trying to hold the locker room together" lol. So there's one cracked out alcoholic owner saying something vs. players and coaches who are putting their names on the line saying he's a great teammate. Similar to in Philly where one washed up WR threw stones and hid hands. Again, the QB from a small school who lacks PR savvy and doesn't quite fit in makes for an easy target. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Irsay brought him in with the idea that if things went south he'd have Carson to blame. Hell when Ryan comes in and stinks it up, I bet Irsay blames it on Carson too somehow.
I didn't imply anything, a scapegoat was needed because of the collapse. Losing against the Jags was absolutely inexcusable. The team lost the game and had a season that didn't meet expectations. Carson rightfully deserves his share of the blame for that, but to blame the entire season on him and claim that the situation is now fixed because he's gone is ridiculous.
Not even sure why I'm trying to argue with you, you're obviously here to just sling mud

Josh Allen also lost to Jacksonville.
