I was wondering how we get all of our commits to show up on rivals.com. I think Marlins has something to do with the wisconsin commits but how do we get the rest on there?

Thank goodness you aren't a recruiter. LOL There is allot that goes in to making a decision on where to accept a scholarship. These are 17 year old kids we are dealing with. You cant just commit to a school on a whim. A recruit can get all caught up in the whirlwind of the recruiting process and it can get confusing when you've got people pulling you in different directions. Hopefully the kid has a check list(thats how I did it) of whats important to him in a school. That can range from academics, miles to home, social life, FBS vs FCS, Style of offense, Where did he feel the most comfortable, facilities etc. Check off the pros and cons of each school. When you look at the schools in a more critical manner the list of schools can get small real quick. But it will usually come down to 2-3 that are close.
You just don't give up on a kid because he didn't commit from the get go when this could be a life decision he is making. PL
O i know that, and I agree with you 100% PL. All i was saying is that, in Hallstroms blog it didn't really seem like he wanted to play here. If he comes here, then awsome, but it seemed as if if he would have came here his heart wouldn't be in it. I totally agree that choosing where to go to school is a big decision in one's life. I also agree with all the things that can be important. If i were a recruiter, which i am not, I would know doubt want him to come to my school, but if his whole heart wasn't there, then I don't know, thats all I was saying.
I think an overall "gut feeling" is a big part of any recruits rationale in selecting a school. If we can read between the lines of Steve's column, it appears A.J does not have a good "gut feeling" for NDSU
How can your whole heart be with ANY school until youve made a decision??? Just because he isnt frothing at the mouth about NDSU NOW doesnt mean if he came here he wouldnt give 100%. There are some recruits that pick a school because thats where theyve wanted to play their whole lives. They will even pay to walk on there IF they let him walk on. Then you have others that have to weigh each and every offer made in a rational process because its really a business decesion even though many dont look at it that way.
You also have others that attend a school just because family went their and they really dont want to. There are too many factors that go in to the decision to judge a kids intent at this juncture.
Update:
- Updated Bobby Ollman's status from "Offer" to "Verbal" per Marlins from www.wissports.net.
- Updated Garrett Bruhn's status from "Offer" to "Verbal" per the Forum
- Added AJ Van Voorhis to "Verbal" list per the Forum (I know we talked about him before, not sure why he wasn't on either list).
Chalk 'em up. Another couple verbals.
