Wyoming was a founding member of the original WAC. They were a founding member of the MW. No marrying up involved.

yes. NDSU admin really F'ed this up. Think about it, if NDSU made a push to.get into MWC same time Bohl went to Wyoming.

just imagine the Rivalry that NDSU vs Wyoming would've generated!!

It would have been a 1 sided rivalry... WE are the only ones who cared. They could've cared less about that. Unless we walked in and made it a whale of a game and whooped them.

I think that's one of the easiest parts. The NCAA would almost certainly lose yet another anti-trust lawsuit if it went that far, and Liberty has already called their bluff on it.

Liberty was going to play the religious card and the 2A wanted none of that after getting their ass handed to them.

But if you are going to challenge the 2A on their bullshit rules now would be the time to do it.

Are you saying Craig Bohl would have promoted adding NDSU to the Mountain West?
And that he would have convinced Wyoming to promote adding NDSU?

Because if you aren’t saying that, what chance did NDSU actually have of Mountain West membership - if even Craig Bohl wasn’t in favor of it……

Gene Taylor liked the idea and it still didnt happen.

It is doubtful you would have been added then. When Boise and San Diego State left for the Big East, the MW backfilled with SJSU and Utah State to get back to 10. Then when BSU and SDSU came back the conference had 12 football schools.
