I'm guessing it was him but are we 100% sure it was that guy that threw the coke? I didn't see who it was could've been somebody else, but the evidence points to him

Beautiful win Bison! Now is the time to start a run for the tourny. That Z is awesome.
Walked out of Frost singing "Hail the Bison Hail the Bison" never had a better feeling. Great win for the Bison. JV was due to hit a big shot. Nate grew up. And Goose was big of the bench.
Whose heading to Sioux Falls?
Must of been a great game. I believe Tim Miles had the same coaching situation as Nagy did against UND when Denver TenBroeck was playing. It was in Grand Forks NDSU was ahead by 2 points, Ben Nemmers was at the free throw line and made 1 of 2 free ones-SU ahead by 3. NDSU didn't foul and this UND player made a 3 point shot even after it was partially blocked. UND won in overtime
Wolters was 2-15 shooting. Zastrow was the better player last night
I don't understand the Jacks complaining about fouls. The refs were very consistent and calling it on both ends. If they got called for reaching in, Pennick was called on that a few times. If they were hand checking and pushing our guards we were getting called for it too
Here's a box score anomoly that you don't see often. In last night's win over the Jacks,
NDSU's FG % from 2 point range = 41.8%. (28-67).
NDSU's 3 point FG % = 47.4% (9-19).
Also, the Herd had another excellent night from the free throw shooting 83.3% (25-30).
This combined with last week's sparkling FT shooting (34-37) vs. Southern Utah the Bison have shot a whopping 88.1% (59-67) over those two games!
Just a great win! Nobody can doubt this team's heart. Saul and staff can coach a little, too! SDSUfans.com has made for entertaining lurking today. We have seen a different Nate Zastrow the past couple of games. Color me impressed!
Go Bison!!
we were watching the game over the blackberry...awesome game guys!
What a difference a week makes. I talked about how Zastrow was not quite ready to perform at this level. He just grew up. The guy can play and will be a leader for this team from here on in.
Just needed some shots to fall to gain his confidence. He is a natural point guard. When you have someone that can run the team, all the other pieces fall into place.
Something is just wrong about this..........
Come on NDSU, Fargo, State of ND........quit being conservative dorks. This is a DI university that is putting ND on the map again. Do something like yesterday. We shouldn't be waiting 2 or 3 or 5 more years to get started...........
WOW! That one was painful! It was another game we will all talk about for a long time but for different reasons.
Congrats to the Bison for pulling out a gutty win. That was just a bizarre ending. I'm not here to complain about officiating. That could be done every game.
How about the ball getting stuck between the rim and backboard? Unreal! The ultimate bad break in my eyes. That was when I knew it probably wasn't our night.
I also send apologies for the coke throwin' jerk. Just not needed.
Hopefully we get another chance to play in Sioux Falls.
SUPERBUNNY
Hahahah, is my reaction to your idea that anyone outside Fargo is going to vote to have any state money spent on a basketball arena. First of all a huge chunk of that money has to be put back into the upkeep of roads and other resources out west from where that money came from. Some of those highways are terrible from all the truck traffic and just don't fix themselves. Second and most importantly a huge chunk will be needed for whatever flood plan gets voted for. Third, and this comes from living and working out west for many years, no one west of Jamestown really cares as much about NDSU and UND for that matter as we would like to think they do. Unless they are an alum they could care less about what type of basketball arena we play in and I'm guessing some state reps will have a lot of explaining to do if that would happen. As much as I would like to see some money come our way from the state I just don't see it happening. I'm really hoping the Sanford arena rumor is true. Thats the best bet to get something going.
unbison......Go cry about your goophers losing AGAIN. This time tubby's bubbies lose to Northwestern. Awwwwwww!
BTW, I am not an ultra conservative and believe it should be some of the states responsibility to assure NDSU gets an upgrade to bring its aging DII basketball facility up to par. Of course, teammakers, the Fargodome and big time donors will do their part too. Just don't think the state should expect the upgrade to completely come from private donations. The entire state benefits from the exposure NDSU got in the national tournament and should understand the results merit some funding for improvements (at least for the BSA renovation). That would free up private donations for the new arena.
go cry..........really I think not
I will be attending a game this weekend.... missed you in brookings or couldnt you make it?
Too bad some of those in western ND can't grow up a bit and understand the importance of academics and athletics to the state. Just a shame if so many out west are that ignorant. I don't see that in western Minnesota as many are Goopher fans (look at unbison). So whats the problem in western ND......apparently they have no pride. I really can't believe that the vast majority out there didn't pay a little attention when NDSU got to the dance.
As for roads......those who tear-em up (truckdrivers) maybe need to pay a little more to make up for their abuse of the roads.
So keep on laughin Grizzled.....just like those who visit the BSA do when they see the pathetic facility a STATE university in ND has..............
At minimum, the state should fund the BSA rennovations (raised track, new offices, remodeled bathrooms, expanded weight room, and additional basketball practice courts). That would allow private donations to be focused on the new arena.
As I explained to others who went to the SDSU game I could not make it to Brookings on Saturday night. I really did plan on going. If only I had a lame excuse, but I did not. Wished like hell I could have been there. As for my reason for not going I don't believe this board needs to hear about issues in my personal life.
As much as I wish this was not a correct assessment I am sad to say it is. Most of the legislators from rural ND are not college educated and fail to understand much of what goes on in the big universities. We had better not look to the state as a source for a new arena or it will never happen.
BTW had to listen to alot of whining from people here about NDSU BB being on TV instead of hockey. Guess they were not bright enough to check the guide to see that hockey was televised on another channel.:smh:
The state can still chip in for the BSA improvements. No reason they can't throw in 5 to 10 million for a facility that has not had much in the way of upgrades in 40 years (how much is the state helping UND for their indoor practice facility?). Athletic facilities get physically worn out and needs change faster than most (not all) academic facilities.

i got my early morning lawls at work. They got a pretty big fact wrong in that article.
Liar!Quote:
Centenary, because of its move to Division III in two years, is not eligible for the tournament.
Those that tear up the roads do pay for them in the form of taxes to their businesses. Where do you really think a vast majority of that surplus came from? A huge portion of it came from the oil activity. And your telling me I have no pride? WTF? I'm just stating to you some facts. I don't live out west anymore but am just stating how it is. And people on the east side of ND have the same mentality towards the western half. Its weird but its the way it is.
Since you didnt read the comments, ill post mine.
You would think they would either know what there talking about, or not mention it. I mean the sentence wasnt really nessecary, and it was an article in a published document....not lakes bs'ing on the internet.Quote:
Remington K. Fargo, ND 02/15/2010 8:09 AM
You are incorrect, the reclassification is not why Centenary is not allowed to participate. Centenary is being disciplined for poor athletic academics. The move to DIII is a response to being shuned from the tourney/coincidence.
Fairly good article overall, a real + from the normal forum bison trashing :P.
I checked my phone late that night of the game to see the score and couldn't believe it. Jacks pissed their pants....yet again. Jack fans have been waiting for this year for nearly 4 years. The Fab Five would be gone, and they would hopefully have a semi respectable team, knock us around a couple times on the basketball court, and then send 4 years worth of cooped up smack our direction. Man are those rabbits eating crow right about now. Not only did we graduate the Fab Five, but they also returned nearly their entire roster, easily have their best team since the transition began, we lose 2 starters to injury and another promising true frosh guard, and they still get B-slapped around on their own court none the less.
As far as the summit tourney, it would be incredibly tough to beat the same team 3 times in the same year so I don't know if we want to face them in the first round. I just hope one of the xDSU's gets the chance to knock the living tar out of Oral Roberts. As long as those whiny B's go home on the first night I'll be happy no matter who wins!!
we spend money on fricken roads every single year! why cant we pony up some for a new arena? :banghead:
