didnt know we got our "ass kicked" pretty sure losing by 3 means it was a close game.
kinda like when you guys won by 6 because the bison couldnt score in the red zone
same thing happened when you lost by 3
sure i talked trash because i dont respect div2 national titles. maybe when you beat a ranked bcs school like appalachian state you guys will mean something nationally. at this point in time the world doesnt know the difference between ndsu and und!

Much like the Gophers were the laughing stock of the BCS last year...oh wait 10yrs. Oh and by the way in DI football we finished the season ranked one slot lower than the MIGHTY Goofers at #94, and you only had 1 more BCS win than we did which made the difference

When is the last time the Gophers beat a ranked team? Was NDSU even in DI at the time?

It hurts me to say (as a gopher fan also) that its not 10 years, its closer to 50.
PBoy, if you want to smack, have a basis for it. Over the last 5 years, you are 3-2 against FCS teams and the MAC has owned you. Shouldn't the Gophs be at least an average Big Ten team? Right now, you are dribbling all over your leg.

great question! i cant remember, mason and brew really sucked! hopefully kill can bring some respect back to minnesota!
but i guess i could ask that question about ndsu. when have you guys played a ranked bcs school? maybe you should continue to schedule the worst bcs schools in the country(yes im putting my favorite school in that mix) or the schools in coaching transistions. im sure the bcs nation is in fear of the dominance you have had over kansas and central michigan!

2002-2005 were fairly good years by minnesota. you can have all the rankings you want but its easy for small schools to play up for a game or 2. i would love to see ndsu play a full big ten schedule with their roster. or a tcu, boise, etc etc. ndsu and schools like ndsu have the talent to play up for a game or 2 but not a season.

We only schedule regional teams(Our AD likes scheduling games where most fans can travel to), we have tried to schedule games against both Iowa and Wisconsin. Not sure with the deal is with the sconis but Iowa won't play us according to our coach.

....that is EXTREMELY weak smack. We're an FCS school, whats in it for us(or for that matter, a ranked BCS team) to play a team like that? Minnesota IS a BCS school...they should be able to beat ranked BCS teams on occasion. NDSU shouldn't realistically be able to beat ANY BCS schools.

probably because they dont want to schedule 2 fcs games! why schedule ndsu when they get in state uni? always play in state!
wisky is scared because you upset them in basketball in 1987 with woody and the kid from ndscs. thats why they wont play you, fear!
Neb-547 mi
Illinois-675
NU-570 mi
Mich St-668 mi
Mich-717 mi
Purdue-664 mi
all closer than wyoming and i didnt really get into schools outside the big ten

so we are damned if we do and damned if we dont! that is why many of you will act like giant tools when we win. you guys will trash the U before the game and when you lose you will say..."uh, well you are in the big ten you should win..."
i loved the tailgating when you guys came down the last 2 times except the group that wore the bison hats(the ones that look like the flinstones) i think they were a frat...they were pissed because we didnt care about div2 national titles!
it should be a fun game, hoping lakesbison gets kicked off our campus like he did yours!

Wyo is close for a lot of people out in western ND. Bohl was fired from Nebraska, which probably diminishes interest in that match up. I'm sure we'd love to play Purdue, Northwestern, Missouri, K-State or Illinois.

Who is Attending the Minnesota Game?
Thinking about going over for your game against the Gophers on Sep 24th, hope at least 10-15 of you guys show up.

Re: Who is Attending the Minnesota Game?
Lakes already started a thread on this....

Re: Who is Attending the Minnesota Game?
10-15, huh? Well, the unofficial count from last time was around 30,000 so I'm hoping a few dozen will consider making it. :)
Anywho, wouldn't be surprised if 100+ from Bisonville specifically make it, expecting several thousand to the game itself.
-
Re: Who is Attending the Minnesota Game?
Barring any unforseen natural disaster or something else stupid I will be there

Re: 2011 Gopher Game... Let the Planning Begin
When do tickets go on sale? And where can I buy them?
-
Re: Who is Attending the Minnesota Game?
All the hardcores ya seen in Bozeman will be there plus a s***load more.

Assuming ticket availability.
I think there would have been massive numbers of tickets available had Punky still been the coach and apathy would have been rampant. Bison fans could have purchased them for peanuts, literally.
Not sure that will be the case with Kill as coach of the Gophers. He will still be on his honeymoon with the fans and they will want to see if he can have more success with lower division teams than his predecessor. Plus, it will be early fall for this game and the weather will be great for outdoor football.
Besides, The Bank has about 20,000 fewer seats than the Dump, less opportunity to take it over I am afraid.

I thought the hardcores went to Cheney and the bandwagon fans went to Bozeman :hide:

Where does everyone plan on partying? I can't decide if we should stay by TCF/Campus or if we should stay around downtown by the bars/clubs.

Re: Who is Attending the Minnesota Game?

Re: Who is Attending the Minnesota Game?
FYI The season starts 2 games earlier.

Those are home games, no need to make travel, hotel, ticket arrangements this far in advance.
