It's been floated... Group of 5 leaders discussing G5-only playoff, realignment as future options - The Athletic
States like Idaho and Wyoming still have Senators though. Sure, the SEC and Big10 will do just about anything to claw every last red cent they can get out of athletics, but is the risk worth the reward? Sometimes a big, fat, greedy, stupid dragon is better off just sitting on their pile of gold instead of venturing out to steal the last silver piece from the local village.

Pffft! The "loyalty and culture" that was so good he decided to jump in the portal.
This makes me queasy but sooner or later NDSU is going to have to make an exception to their "once you go in the portal you're cut off" rule just like everyone else is for players who are that impactful.

For Washington State, it feels like Jason Eck could've been a natural replacement for Dickert, just down the road at Idaho. Except he just took the New Mexico job. Timing.

In the third dialect of Fuktardistan, Sacramento comes from Sac meaning ball sack and Ramento meaning offensive odor. The area was called Sacramento because it has an offensive stench of rotting ball sack.

Interesting read on ESPN about the G5/G6 vs P4 (have nots vs haves). There is a lot of complaining from lower level G5/G6 coaches about having to raise money to keep players or have coffee in the coaches office.

Ahhhh, thank you. LOL. I’m retired so not really cognizant of “what day it is”. So they got me with this one. I did manage to filter out the Carson Wentz retirement story from The Spectrum but failed to keep my antenna turned for this one. Gonna have to see if I can get the BS meter in for service.

The FBS Oversight Committee meets on Monday (June 16) from 2-3:30 p.m. ET. It's expected to decide on Sac State's FBS independent waiver.
If the FBSOC approves the waiver, it then goes to the Division 1 Council for final approval, which meets later this month.

@RossDellenger
NCAA Football Oversight Committee is providing to the DI Council a recommendation not to support the waiver request from Sacramento State seeking to transition to FBS, sources tell @YahooSports.
The authority to grant the waiver still remains at the DI Council’s discretion.

Liberty used the "Religious" card and NCAA did not want to go down that path. Plus it was a different time in NCAA move ups. The Big Boys are putting up all kinds of guardrails to stop it. NCAA is not going to bite the hand that is feeding them.
