Gotcha, the rub on that is I believe it says 8 full sports FBS members. So for Hawaii to count, they would have to bring all sports into MWC. Does that seem likely? Are the costs prohibitive, or there was another reason they weren't full members?Quote:

According to FOS, the Mountain West has been contacted by both Sacramento State & New Mexico State about membership. Sac St has also been making its pitch to the Pac 12 in which it would constitute the largest media market in the new conference.

In recruiting, he compares NDSU to schools like Marshall, App State, Boise State and UCF when talking to prospects. That’s how NDSU views itself. It just needs to find the same level of competition.

They currently have 7 full members..They would need to add at least 1 more full member to be a conference..Hawaii is an affiliate member and doesn't count. Adding you or anyone else for football only would not satisfy the requirement. I don't think Hawaii will become a full member..It was their choice to just be football with their oly sports in the Big West. Much easier travel. They pay subsidies to the BW as well as the MW.Quote:
