#2 for the shanley deacons (K).
We should be looking at him. He just hit a very accurate 41 yder as a juniour in HS. He also booted a kickoff out the back of the endzone.
Seems to have some talent+hes from ND.
Dan Jordan #2. Kicker.
Watch this kid.
#8 Julius Midell has some good speed and agility for South... anybody know what year he is?
Hey, watching the games today: Esley Thorton was named AAA player of the year and Ryan Smith was named AA player of the year.
Very excellent point, and it's one people tend to forget it seems. I don't see how you can rag on Bohl for picking up Mertens - PotY in Minnesota, leading rushing QB in the state, how do you not pick the guy up? On paper, he looked like a great get for NDSU prior to his junior year here.
Have we had any interest in Ben Wolf from Devils Lake at all? Smith is a better runner but I think Wolf is a better athlete and could play defense/special teams here
Anyone want to share anything on the kids that are currently redshirting? I think the WR's get overlooked and I think next to the DL, I think the WR was best recruited position in that class.
22 more Bison coming....
What redshirt kids will make an impact next season? What position needs to be recruited the hardest (Linebacker)?
Here's a couple things I've heard, but not much detail to add.
Our redshirt fullback Lang is playing some scout team running back and I was told he's doing pretty well. He was a walk-on and I don't know alot about him, but he will add depth to an already deep position. Probably won't see any first team action with the guys ahead of him and all.
And our WR, the tall guy from Cali, I heard is playing well. He moves well and catches the ball! Wouldn't be suprised to see him start, I get the feeling he will.
And one more thing; did anyone notice the play of Brock Gion last saturday? He blocked the punt and made a special teams tackle immediately afterwards. He's another walk-on from Mott-Regent. Maybe he has a bright future in green and gold:D
Has anyone heard of any possible position changes? It seems to me Grothmann would make a heck of a LB. I think we are set at FB for the next few years.
Pierz is led by 6'7" 308 lb Dylan Peterson,
3,200 yards on the ground and over 40 rushing td's for Pierz.
thats my neck of the woods, and I was told he will be playing at NDSU next year.
Judging from the swath Dylan Peterson is expected to cut at right tackle this fall ... “I know NDSU is looking at me and they've said they're waiting on the ...

BILLY TURNER VIDEO (*its a few weeks old, BEFORE the verbal*)
Not sure if NDSU is actively pursueing this guy, but QB/Athlete Justin Sinz out of Wisc. picked up an offer from Purdue, to go along with the ILL St. offer he has held.
How about Carlton Littlejohn?
Nice article on Billy Turner

"I went to Northern Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, North Dakota State. Going to all those schools I kind of had a top three in my mind. I chose North Dakota State, Northern Illinois and Minnesota. When I went to NDSU I just felt something. I just liked the town I liked everything there."
Gotta like this quote...
Quote:
"They offered me this summer so they offered me early. That was something I liked. They showed they wanted me and wanted me early. They called me every single week and some of these other schools wouldn't call at all. NDSU just stayed on recruiting me hard. The coaches made me feel at home. The coaches weren't like other coaches. They didn't just throw the school at you, they seemed real."
Christian Dudzik of Omaha, NE has has an offer from NDSU. 5'11 180 4.5 40.
