Go back even a few years further, and look at Tre Roberson. I think he was pretty fast too.

I guess that is my point, it seems like there are plenty guys around that are really damn good. Again, Not a knock, but rather a nod towards the quality of the FCS

Man, that guy was a nightmare... 11 carries, 161 yards. 11 completions for 157 yards. I mean 14+ yards/catch is really good, but his yards per carry were even higher.

Who the hell runs QB power and single-wing offense in 2018? High school football and Montana State.
He's just a special athlete, but above all he is a football player. There is a decent chance he'd be our best player at about half of the positions on the football field if he switched. He's just and old-school, Leave it to Beaver type All-American kid who loves football and has some exceptional athletic abilities to go along with.
Will he be the best athlete NDSU has ever seen? Probably not even this season. But it's a testament to his athletic ability that he can play a mix of LB/RB as a true freshman last year where he was the Big Sky freshman of the year, spend all spring ball at LB, literally switch to QB for player run summer workouts, win the QB job and then go 7-3 as a starter and be arguably the worst passing QB in the country. Because of the other things he can do, and his intangibles as a leader and a competitor.
It's just a remarkable story and I'm not sure I've ever seen anything like it. So maybe you have seen something like this before, but I have my doubts. But that doesn't mean we are a great football team. I don't expect a W on Saturday, and I even expect Andersen to be contained. But it's been a season for the ages in more than just wins and losses.
We're just damn proud of our small town Montana boy.
As you should be. What MSU has done this year is quite remarkable. From not having a QB to start fall practice to making the playoffs and getting a win. Sounds like you guys are playing better now than at the beginning of the season.
Who knows, just might be a better game than I expect.

Yeah, and he almost cost us the championship. If not for having arguably the most talented QB in school history, we would have lost that game.
We'll have to account for this kid. If he is allowed to break free, he will get downfield in a hurry. The fact that he doesn't throw very well is not going to help him, though.

You are correct Sir.
Our LBers was in conflict all freaking day... should they play Tre or play the TE.
After J Crockett knocked James O'Shaughnessy out, our converted QB to LB (smirk smirk) picked Tre off.
JO'S is still a monster watched him the other day

One of the greatest games I have ever witnessed live at any level. I don't think anyone that played that day left anything in their gas tank. Just another game that proves what type of talent NDSU plays against all the time and usually wins, and hence, why I don't get too worked up about talented individuals on opposing teams. Now if the majority the opposing team is full of Tre Roberson-like athletes, they yes, I'd be worried (looking at you 'Bama).

Including me. I went through about 10 different emotions in that 15 minute span. Took years off my life.

Thread drift warning: How solid would it be if our BB teams played like this? I know it won’t happen, cuz I went through when at NDSU, but still ... that all I ask for.

And, anyway, I’m tired of talking about this game, let’s just get it on!! Pretty sure our players feel same way. We are not going to lose to the Cats—-just not happening. Trust me.

I wish for every Bison, regardless of sport or gender, to play that way. The football team has developed an amazing culture that has led them to do amazing things.

Yeah right. Bb in general is a pussy sport. Annoying as hell actually. Usually 10 guys on the court gliding around, too cool to show some real effort except if they can dunk. Then they growl and flex like some animal.

Too bad FAR-BZN isn't a popular route. 1 hr and 34 mins? Wouldn't ever drive that forsaken 94/90 road again.

How times have changed since 2010 when we eagerly anticipated the next transmission from the brave souls that traveled west in the Battlewagon. History became legend, legend became myth...and things left unspoken still remain secret. How times have changed. Now Montana St has to travel here...and maybe, just maybe there might be some tales of drunken Bobcats that will litter teh interwebs to the delight of all.

One of my favorite water holes. You should have advertised you were going to be there last night. I would have swung by and bought a round or two. Looks like you were drinking my drink of choice.

Lots of wildlife and wide open spaces. But apparently not enough 5 star restaurants, Micro Breweries, and Urban areas with plenty of shopping opps for the upscale crowd....fine by me!

Nice photos! We flew to Alaska a few years ago, and the clear views of the Canadian Rockies on the way home were gorgeous. Fun memories!
