I would like to point out that there is a difference between the way a major DI program (i.e. Florida, Alabama, USC, Ohio State, etc...) recruits compared to an FCS program, as 9 times out of 10 an FBS program will win out on a recruit over an FCS program. Therefore, many talented recruits who are receiving interest (not the same as an offer) from an FBS will hold off their commitment because they feel they might get an offer from their more coveted schools, when in reality they might have been that programs' 2nd/3rd/4th option at that particular position. Many of these kids won't find out till later in the process whether or not the FBS program(s) got the player(s) rank ahead of them in the recruiting depth chart, and if the kid becomes the odd man out, they start weighing their FCS options.
Personally, I like to see a mix of early recruits (especially local) and late recruits, therefore you can lock up the kids who appreciate the early interest but still have some scholarships available for the great talent that falls through the cracks of the FBS ranks.
From Sid's column, and he is close to the Grant's:
Taylor Grant, the outstanding Eden Prairie quarterback/tight end and son of Eagles coach Mike Grant, has accepted a scholarship from the University of North Dakota. The Gophers recruited Grant but wanted him to walk on as a freshman, then try to earn a scholarship.
Ughh....
Are we pretty much done as long as all verbals sign or is there room for a couple more players?

NDSU and SDSU has *interest* but I think he is our 3rd cb choice behind fred jackson/fred blow.
According to the Omaha World-Herald, NDSU has an offer out to Ron Coleman, a 5'11 250 lb RB/LB (did some research and apparently he runs a 4.8* 40 and rushed for 1300+ yards and lead Nebraska Class A in rushing.) He's also a two-time defending state wrestling champ. Seems like a good candidate for a fullback or linebacker.
The article doesn't give me enough confidence to put him on the recruiting summary yet - there are just too many cases of mistaken identity.
