I think this is a very fair post. Stig will get his kids this year, just like he does. I think he will change his philosphy a bit next year to go more toward what Bohl did. My opinion. UND fans don't have a leg to stand on. NDSU went 7-0 again against UND this year and have yet to prove a thing. SDSU has proven it on the field and will continue to play a really tough brand of football. NDSU will be back, but it may take some time. Looking forward to Spring Ball already. These back to back classes are amazing.
I wouldn't have said a thing if it wasn't coming from Jackmd, I remember he posted a lot of secondhand info about basketball recruiting and it was spot on. I doubt Stig is ever going to go on gojacks.com and air his recruiting concerns, that just isn't the right platform.
I don't really care about other MVFC schools, most of the them are far enough away where what we do and who we recruit doesn't really affect them. But when we are pulling MN, SD, and Nebraska kids it is going right into Stig's recruiting wheelhouse.
I won't say Stig can't pull out a recruiting blitz, but I have heard the region is down and we had a ton of early verbals. You can say our class are always more hyped, but this class is built a bit differently. No class ever had this many early verbals and this class is a bit more regional.
As for talking about SDSU's recruiting, we have 23 verbals, I think we can look around and see how it is going for everyone else at this point.

What else do we have to do? It is like we have opened all our Christmas gifts and it is only Thanksgiving.:smh: :smh: :smh: ;) ;)
I have one final comment. As for overall recruiting, most will agree that NDSU will likely pull in a higher percentage of recruits every year that are highly touted for the FCS level compared to SDSU. How those recruits turn out can always vary and sometimes the better recruits end up contributing less than recruits with average capability.
I think SDSU had a couple years where their average recruits turned out better than expected and the TEAM played well together.
Minimal defections and injuries along with a beneficial home schedule really helped the Jacks this past year. So after the Montana debacle, how will SDSU respond? Are there enough questions about who will step up for lost personel and was some of the TEAM chemistry lost?
At this point I find it hard to believe that SDSU will replace NDSU as the dominant football program in the Dakotas long term. Obviously the Jack fans think they have arrived and will stay there. I highly doubt that will be the case. In summary, for the past couple years SDSU had everything come together and NDSU had everything fall apart. Just the appearance that NDSU has done well with recruiting after a 3-8 season, compared to what seems like a struggle for a SDSU team that made the playoffs shows NDSU is still king.
